I've been trying to figure out how to take a nice looking photo of a front crook on a bank/transition, fish or long lens.
I can't for the life of me find any good photos for inspiration. Any iconic photos I just don't know about?

Maybe it’s a hard trick to shoot on transition because you gotta show the angle of the board, and maybe sometimes the angle / spots don’t allow photographers to have a great angle. I used the word angle too much

the frontside crooked grind when done properly is quite possibly skateboarding most stylish trick, at least to me.

Yeah, trying to capture the body shape, pinch AND show the context of the trick/spot all in one photo is pretty challenging with a front crook. Some great examples here or how to do it right though.

Yeah, trying to capture the body shape, pinch AND show the context of the trick/spot all in one photo is pretty challenging with a front crook. Some great examples here or how to do it right though.
And then we also have foys El Toro front crooks, which is a display of the worst possible angle to capture the trick from.
But yes it can be a beautiful trick - the backfoot tends to go into a beautiful position (same goes for front noseslides)

Lol 90% of the photos aren't even what OP is looking for and half of them aren't even that proper.
IMO, that nobody gives a shit about, they should be pinched, tweaked, stood up on and driven by the back foot ala moses' front noses. Nothing worse than a snow plowed crook.

As i said in one in my previous post I tried to find front crooks on transition / banks but it’s quite rare
I remember when I was younger I learned front crooks and I was so happy, it felt so good. Homie filmed it, and watching the footage I realized it was so ugly haha

I can't find it anywhere on the internet but when I think front crook photo my mind always goes to a Kenny Reed one on that bank to rail in Barcelona he used to skate a lot. Had it on my binder in highschool and it's forever ingrained in my head. That photo was amazing, but also a testament to how much better a photo compared to footage can look. It was his last trick in Static 2 but the one he landed was much more nosegrind.

This is a photo I took 10 years ago. Could use a bit more pinch, but on a short ramp like this, you really can't lock into a proper grind (if it's not super basic).

Had that Clyde ad on my wall as a kid. The back foot push and the style!! Always grew up thinking THAT is how that trick should look and why a fakie front crook is still one of my favorite tricks to do to this day.
