I stick to core brands...I think pant brands that historically make pants like Levi's and Dickie's have no place in skateboarding......
That is one weird comment. They make pants, if they're comfy to skate in then what's the problem?
Levis never worked well for me, they rub uncomfortably when pushing and the crotch tears out. I don't buy either if their "skateboarding" product lines but regular Dickies are hard to beat. There's a reason skaters adopted them as their common pant, and in the early days it had nothing to do with trends. I have Dickies that are older than a lot of dudes on here and are still perfectly wearable.
For those of you who like a slightly looser fit the Vans AV78 work pants are amazing, super comfortable and really durable, and they look really good.
Haven't tried their work pants but I back Vans jeans, they're surprising good and easy to find on eBay for $20 +/-. Wearing a pair right now, older AvE model that I got for like $17 shipped, and they're my go-to skate jeans.
Fourstar jeans are good too. Light and usually fit well, with just enough stretch to not blow out. Also pretty easy to find on eBay in the $30 range.
