Took me awhile to check out their channel and I really regret not peeping more of their vids sooner. The spot history vids make my inner nerd really happy and the game of skate vids are really fun. These dudes are buck I didn't know they had it like that

Before you say the music sucked, have you considered shutting the fuck up?

Dalton is a very good all-around skater but those rocket melons tweaked the wrong way have got to go.

If I were playing a game of skate on a 12 stair, the first trick would be faceplant followed by broken ankle.

Double post, fuck it.

But, it must be so awesome to have a sibling to skate with. I tried to get my little brother to skate (7 year difference) he fell once and was over it.

I think the very first hard slam you take as an inexperienced skater is the litmus test of if you’re going to continue doing it.

For some, first slam they are out haha

I've seen this personally too. One friend thought he could just jump on board and drop in on this tall, mellow-ish bank w/o any experience. He fell to flat and rolled the shit out of his ankle. Hasn't skated before or since. I don't even feel bad cause I warned him he was getting ahead of himself, but oh no, no one ever listens to Necktie
Wow sorry, didn't realise I was dealing with a sick cunt here

That’s it, I’m in! Dern brothers have won me over. I admittedly was being a bit judgemental about their looks, but they seem cool enough and rip. I love the amount of research they do on each spot, and all the guest appearances from pros discussing their tricks.
Do you get deja vu, huh?

really appreciate the focus on photos in the water gap episode. i'd never seen the shot of kris markovich by daniel harold sturt. it's definitely burned into my brain now.

according to the chrome ball incident, markovich wasn't even planning on skating the gap that day, but sturt had a contraption all setup to cross the water when he showed up. to shoot a photo that nearly completely crops out the skater, but captures the essence in a shadow, that's wonderful. not too sure how that would fly in this day in age, but it seems like skating needs more of it.

forgot all about the dave chami photo of walker ryan's switch tre. that one still brings out the stoke much as the first time i saw it in print.

the one dern brother jumping across the gap multiple times probably inspired a new challenge for sasuke / american ninja warrior. after seeing him slice himself open, i can understand why the other brother was like "nah".

having siblings to skate with is the best. both of my older brothers skated when i was little, the eldest stopped to just focus on surfing, and my little brother skates too. the three of us having a session is pretty special. that said, i wish it were all four of us - that would be magic.

Another great one. Laban always had a unique thing going.

Funny to see how Kanaan is afraid of the jump, given the death-defying rails he usually skates.

I rarely laugh anymore from being dead inside, but that was hilarious when Kanaan tried to jump across the water.  You can see the moment he loses the nerve to commit.

Always thought this was a cool spot.  I liked the one clip with the drone looking straight down.

Jesus, just the style on the trick alone is A+, like a prime Arto switch tre. Then you factor in the sun, water, colors, etc. What a fucking pic. Wow.

Had no idea that many tricks went down there. Dern Brothers    are seriously so sick. They go deep with their research. Hopefully they blow tf up so they can travel on YouTube’s dime and go everywhere.

They obvs love skating and do all their homework, put in max effort but kinda defeats the purpose of measuring a spot accurately if you're gonna just add some extra random amount to the landing

let’s go home

Skatetube isn’t usually my thing at all but Dern bros. are an exception. I’ve watched every spot history episode and this recent one might be my favourite yet.
Dern’s really seem to be good guys with nice attitudes who have fun making their videos.

Hotwings and skatepark darkslides. Not sure I can get on board with this one. As long as Dalton does a rocket tweaked melon grab though all should be right in the universe.
