i love the BL Lance Mountain...i think i would love it more if i re-drilled it too. Did you re-drill the nose?
[close]
Yes, the nose. It still feels like a big boat of a board. But is so much lighter and easier to ollie now.

yeah i'm thinking about doing that to my Ol Yeller Anti Hero.  Tighten it up a bit.

I couldn't decide between a few decks so I had my friend pick, and this is what she chose. It's too brilliant and honestly I kinda wanted to wallhang it after seeing it in person.

Heroin Golden Egg 9.125"x32" with 14.5" WB
Ace 66
Spitfire 58mm 99a Classics
1/4" risers
MOB
Bones Swiss

I skated it for like an hour and I'm thinking about removing the risers or putting 1/8" risers on, and switching to my F4 54mm tablets
[close]

I had the original Daniel Shimizu Egg board. I remember the nose was shorter than the tail by a considerable amount, I ended up skating it with the graphic backwards after a while. Looks like they've swapped it around now. Pretty sure I still have that board in the UK somewhere.

that golden egg sooo goood

Looking for some help finding something similar to the doubles ltd early 90's shape, I bought out all the stock of them I could find and am down to my last one. Generator/bbs wood and the specs are 9.1 Width 31.5 Length  14.25 Wheel Base 6.25 Nose 6.75 Tail. I've personally searched far and wide, even reached out to Generator on instagram but have found nothing comparable enough. I'm not ready to stop skating this shape dammit, it might be the only true love I ever find.

This was posted today if you're still looking to get one.

Skated a Couch shape a few weeks back but got over the short wb pretty quickly. Got Venture 6.1’s at the start of the week and I’m slowly moving them onto different boards I’ve had over the past few months... Tried Brown Bomber, Dane 1 (which was actually fun but just didn’t feel right). Hopefully this is the one! I skate lots of tranny so we’ll see how these Ventures go...

They 54mm, they're not my fav but I had them lying around so they work but it'd be nice put some 56mm proper softies on it.

My homie is close with some of them - it’s a crew of guys local to west Melbourne that used to run the Bluestone DIY. I saw those shaped decks recently - no doubt they’d be sick and worth supporting.

Finally got my cruiser set up and of course it is raining by me today. Anyway, my cat approves of it.

Scram Minor Threat 9.75
Ace 66's
OJ Super Juice 78A 60MM
Bones Big Balls
Mob Grip

I stood on it a bit and it seems like the 60MM OJ's may lead to wheel bite, as there are no wheel wells on this deck. I have a pair of SuperJuice Mini's and Ricta Cloud 78a's 54mm on the way which will hopefully be fine for this cruiser. If anything I may pick up some risers for this cruiser deck but regardless I cant wait to get it out on the street.

I didn't think it did at first either, but the measuring tape says it is. The angle in that picture doesn't help either. Im really siked to try the mini juice's also. I feel like theyll be the perfect feel between cruiser wheel and technical wheel.

I'm running ace 55's with 56mm conical fulls. Also had one set up with Venture 5.8 with 53mm radials and that was pretty fun too

You should have said it is a 9" ,no one would have noticed the missing 0.12" ;)
I'd like to see more 8.8" boards. Plenty of space to land, not as boaty as >9.25".

How do you like those 97a Ojs?

Finally purchased the Blind "High Guy" reissue.

It's a very good plank and I'm excited to try a flatter egg shaped 9+ board.
The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.

I loved that board.  Such a sick shape & kept its pop for ages.  Short wheelbase was fun too.

Hello all,

This was posted in the Setup Thread also.

I'm a new user, but an old school skateboarder! Lol  :P

I used to skate back in the 80's and I still have my Powell Peralta Tony Hawk XT Screaming Chicken Iron Cross original skateboard!

I just setup a skateboard to have fun again. I did it 90's style.
Blank 90s/Pool deck with tiny wheels.

Special Shape Blank 90s/Pool Board

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLANK-POOL-SKATEBOARD-DECK-4-SHAPES-4-SIZES-OLD-SKOOL-80S-90S-STYLE-NEW/202561485626?hash=item2f299afb3a:g:lkEAAOSwUpFcNezW

Length X Width - 32.25 X 9 INCHES
Wheelbase - 14.75 INCHES

Independent 159 Stage XI Forged Hollow Trucks
Nicotine Smoke Stacks 1/8" Risers[I'm old and added them to absorb impact]
Rellik Titanium Ceramic Bearings
44mm 101a "Squared Shape" Wheels
Mob Griptape[I did a horrible job]
No Name Hardware

Can't wait to try this out and have fun!  :)

Cheers!

Not sure if I should throw Ace 55 or 66 on it.

The orange crusher is nice. I paired mine with 169s and it was the perfect sized up popsicle board with just a touch of shaped nose. I got another one new in shrink but I think I’m gonna skate something else inbetween.

I have one that I rode on 55’s last August. Still got a lot of life in it so I think I’m going to set it up again on 169 Ti some time soon.

Felt good with 55’s but I think 169’s will pop a little bit better for me on this

Thank you! I've had a Brown Bomber for a bit and am still undecided as to what I prefer for my city cruiser board, so this will be a nice addition.
