Been skating mostly parks lately mainly doing transition but also some tech, but every so often I'll be hitting curbs on the street.

I originally got them for a 9” egg but the trucks noticeably stuck out. They’re slightly smaller than the width for this board but it works. 77s would probably stick out a bit.

Edit: might add 1/8” risers and either 59” Radials or 58” Conical Fulls depending how my session at the park goes.

makes sense! Yeah the 9.4” space egg seems perfect for 9” axle width trucks

i run 169's on my 10" egg. its a magic carpet, but i kidna like that. my friend got one with 215's and i do think maybe it locks better on crooks. but other than that havn't noticed much advantages.

i find myself stuck between wanting way difrent type of shapes all the time. whenever i ride a more 80's type shape i miss the simplicity of an egg, but when i ride an egg i kinda miss seeing some rad fish shape and big square tail.
really craving an 80's style shape again these days but i basicly only skate street/curbs. so that would be the worst decision, tho they can look pretty cool on street aswell.
got that new Snelling Reaper form Blast as a wall hanger but standing on it really temping me.
anyone else have this problem?

(really tho, i should just get a Mutant again..)

Is the shape of the Van man the same as the Street Thing?  Maybe even the Grosso Butt Head board?

They look pretty much the same, and seem to have the same dimensions on paper, but there is something about the Van Man that seems like it is better.

That is probably just the fact that I have the other two but not the Van Man, when it came out a while back, they sold out almost instantly, but the minimal graphic on a good stain looks so good.

A friend that had Van man and Street thing said they were the same but I never saw them together so can’t confirm or deny. Pretty sure @yourbreakfsat has had both so maybe he’ll chime in.

Ha yeah, sometimes it can go either way, but I have a couple of the Street Thing decks so I think I am good for those.

After skating a Lucero Cross a few times - other people had them - I am happy to say it is too big for what I would enjoy, but for anyone who wanted a big bigger board, they are perfect, as per the people who got them were stoked on them.

For me, 169s are nice, 215s are too much, so although some boards I have are 10" at the widest point, I would still like boards that can happily fit 169s on them and they feel better under foot like that, so anything that does actually fit the 215s just feels a little too big to be comfortable.

Still doesn't make me want to try them any less, but I know what works and what doesn't, so I leave it at that.

I'm curious what the cross is at the back trucks? 9.25-ish I'd guess? I've skated 215's and didn't enjoy them, feels like trying to maneuver a lunch tray onto coping, just too much. I'd be putting hollow 169's on it. That deck is really close to the Raney Big Bord dims wise,  and I had sooo much fun on that thing, had no trouble popping onto the ledge I like at the local, in fact I loved how it ollied. It was very Magic carpet with Thunder 151's and didn't feel weird at all.

May also have to order a Street thing, want to try 14.5 WB on something wider,  and like the option of 15" WB if I don't like 14.5.

May have also ordered a green giant last week... the giant deck madness is real.

I am weak, weak man, lacking in discipline and self control.

So arriving this week we have *checks notes*: Anti Hero green giant, Black Label Lucero Cross, Black Label Street thing, and another set of forged hollow 169's.

So yeah, large skateboards a-coming.

im pretty sure that graphic is the 9.75 symmetrical egg
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

It is a symmetrical board. Also, Fos made a post where he noted the Dressen egg was 9.25” over the trucks.

Both of you are right. It’s a 9.75” that measures 9.25” over the trucks. FOS posted a IG story where he had the Dressen graphic on a 9.5” symmetrical egg, but that was a custom for himself.

AH Green Giant, 32.98" (not 33!!!) x 9.56" x 15.25# wheelbase.

Bit sad to put grip over that top ply, damn that's a nice flamey slice of maple.

Boring bowl troll build:

Indy forged hollow 169
⅛" Indy risers
1" Indy hardware
56mm V6 Dragons
Mini-logo bearings
MOB (sanded)

Hot af today, put the grip in the sun and wow, that's the ticket, so easy.

Not sure what I'm going to use this for yet, threw the Dragons on it as they were sitting around not on anything.

Crossius Posticus from the setup thread...

Black label street thing

9.88", 32.25" long, 14.5" or 15" WB.

Indy 169 Forged hollow with 92a bushings
Indy 1" hardware
Indy ⅛" risers
Spitfire Conical full 56mm
Mini-logo bearings
Pepper grip

I am totally getting Pepper grip every time from now on. Super nice to install, cuts easy. The shop only had one sheet left or I would've gotten a few.
