The skatepark I used to go to all the time had a pair of these on the wall forever. It would be funny to see how they skated compared to real dunks. They're probably not made in America because that would be extremely expensive, so whats the point when they're probably made in china? It's the same people producing it, but at probably half the quality. "I'll give half the money to a skater-based company, although the product they made is blatantly sub-par", instead of Consolidated just making shoes that are better for skating than Nike.

I liked my pair too, except I wore a hole in the insole oddly enough and would get blisters on the bottom of my foot from it. They skated and looked awesome though.

Had his DVS shoes. Then when these came out I wanted these; still want these. I still have a pic of them on my wall that I cut out from a catalog in 09ish.

Had his etnies shoe... I didn't realized sole tech ran so big and got a 10, I wear a 9. Ended up rolling my left ankle in them, then the next morning rolling around I hit a rock and rolled my right ankle. They looked sick tho...

I loved this shoe and had it in multiple colourways. Perfect blend of mesh and stronger shit. So comfy and well made. What happened to DVS

I always thought these were the sickest looking shoes. A kid that I idolized at my school had these and I looked for them everywhere and never found them except in CCS. my mom always said they were to expensive

In 2004, just before I graduated high school, I bought a pair of Nike indoor soccer shoes for $20 on a Foot Locker sale rack

They looked a lot like this:

had a toe like this:

and were in this colorway:

They were leather and suede and were the most comfortable, longest lasting, best-skating, non-skate shoe I've ever owned. I miss them all the time

I've always wondered why cupsole slip-ons are never really attempted. Especially nowadays with all the in-between soles people are making.
