So I have an idea for a zine and I have a few things I want to get at and I need you guy's help, this is what I got so far
For as many goddamned years I have put into this kvlt piece of wood with wheels, I have few bones to pick. I am here to let you motherfuckers know a few things. For everything we do it has been been bitten off by evil corporate succubus and silver tongued butthole lickers. Music Fashion Chic couture
Hate the idea of your style being stolen? Be better then than them, we experienced it already throughout the early to late 90’s. When being punk wasn’t cool and just looked lazy to upgrading out kits with fitted Baseball hats, Polo, khakis, and cargo pant’s when that started becoming lame and getting used by your atypical bro douchebag we switched it up again. Ali Boulala Jim Greco were at the forefront of switching it up, although with questionable identities and sidepipe viewing tight pants like the Krew AR’s.
Even the worst parts of skating’s questionable fashion sense we’ve held true to our core beliefs.
Which leads me to this rant about how not to blow it when finding your identity in the skate scene, if you can’t make it with talent at least slow your roll and listen up to the older dudes on SLAP. Yes they’re a bunch of grumpy tinfoil hat wearing Alex Jones which will take a rumor and make an entire thread about a post or a team member being let go. However it is good to understand that skating and style are what speaks most of a person, the rest is bullshit, have a whack style or have some lame YouTube* Vlog like Revive/Braille you will be laughed at. The best and most humble skaters are the ones who don’t speak much and let their actions speak for them.
*The only exceptions to YouTube is Ben Degros and those that are building DIY projects for everyone to use and respect
No vibing, No outsiders, No elitists, No kooks, this is our scene and not something to rip off by your shitty Instagram/Etsy social media.
