what I'm saying is that I don't really understand why Virgil is so important to skateboarding.  That said, with pretty much every black skater co-signing him, maybe it's me that's getting it wrong.....

Maybe I just don't understand it, doesn't make him a culture vulture...and there's a point where I really don't need to understand it or form some all in or all out opinion.....I watched the edit and it seemed pretty rad to me...

Virgil’s main connection to skateboarding was via Nike and he personally liked skateboarding and supported skateboarding. He was a skateboarder, albeit not the most prolific or best.

There is not a threshold of ripping that one has to achieve in order for you to be allowed to love skateboarding. It’s not like if Virgil could do switch back tails, his potential enjoyment of skateboarding would have mattered more edit: it would have made his “contributions to the skateboarding community” any less corny.
