The Captain and Casey Show
« on: April 19, 2019, 07:25:36 AM »
Anyone else remember this bizarre show from mid 2000's? It was one of the first skate talk shows I recall ever watching, and surprisingly for being a program that aired on Fuel TV it felt somewhat genuine. It was nice to get a glimpse at skaters not taking themselves so seriously at the time as opposed to whatever other skateboarding related shows were on during that era of extreme sports television. Unfortunately I can't find much online other than a few clips on Youtube and a few full episodes on Vimeo...

The captain reminded me of Chris Penn.

He seems affiliated with Crailtap and has even gone on tours with them, but I'm not really sure what his role is.

I sent in some footage for their "couch warmer" segment back in 2005, and they used it but i never got to see the episode or what they did with it  :-\

The entire show used to be available on Amazon and Itunes but were taken down awhile back for some reason, even the episodes I had purchased years ago are missing from my library. I checked again just this morning to see if they were back up so I could find your episode but they're all gone still. The only thing I can even find is some guy on Vimeo uploaded a few episodes but that's about it. https://vimeo.com/user7228295

He got pretty bitter there at the end
Tossed the captain's drink in the private pool

I loved it and miss it. There’s some full episodes on Vimeo but not many. It came out when I started learning about pro skaters outside of the Tony Hawk games and about skate videos and things like that.

I was watching the Eric and Andre show and the set reminded me of Captain and Casey so I googled it and came across this thread haha.

I definitely liked the show, lots of good segments. Had the chance to skate and hang with Casey a few times and he was always really cool. Fuel used to be great.

I filmed some stuff for an episode of this show back in 2004 (maybe 2005?) after being contacted by one of the guys that worked on the production. At the time, I didn't care at all about being on the show. I was just hyped to make some money for filming skateboarding. Now that I'm older, I really wish I had taped or recorded the episode. Would be very stoked to find it.

god bless dirty ernie. i remember seeing clunt walker send in a sponser me-ish tape to the show, they used to show kids footage at the end of some episodes. he did an ollie sex change down the carlsbad gap, this was prob like 2005 or so when the footage aired. i remember being pretty stoked, ha.

I bought a bunch of episodes of C&C show and American Misfits on iTunes when I was little and they’re still available

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

yo we need an American misfits thread. Does anyone remember Chris Lambert as SLAM, the dude who likes to fall down? If I remember correctly there’s an episode that has Andy Dick and Kris Markovich together.

The one CC with Antwuan Dixon was painful to watch.  Doodoodoodoodooodoodoo doodoodadododoodoo the entire long pauses of him not having much upstairs of meaningful or insightful.

I had a great time watching them on my buddies DVR he'd record.

glad this thread is here and still on the front page for whatever reason. for such an obscure show, it had a big impact on me. i feel like it had the content and tone that skate tv should have.

Rewatching this show now makes me wonder if Eric Andre was ever a fan. It's not as outrageous but I could see it being somewhat of an influence.

I loved this show as a kid, too. It was definitely one of the things that got me hooked on skating early on.
Globes Opinion made me depressed for years.
