Leaving Skateboarder off is disrespectful. They were publishing the best photography and actually had interesting articles and features that covered skateboarding more globally. Not to mention raiders of the lost archives was a good video series they produced.

I wish I had bought Skateboarder when it was available. I didn’t know it existed at the time.

Skateboard mag would be sick. They always had nice glossy pictures and they changed the game with the mag minutes

Yup, Skateboarder for sure
Quality > quantity

Tws was alright but i felt it was too vanilla and kid oriented.
Never really appealed to me.
Early 2000’s tws though was better, minus the military ads and other non skate related ads.

Tsm had a combination fine penmanship by dave carnie, cool photos, and the mag’s paper was glossy.
Tsm would be a runner up.

*That said, i wouldnt want any mag resurrected. I rather see new projects like Closer mag grow up and succeed, as well as other small magazines out there

I just want everyone to know that I'm only 32.8% skateboarder, and that's on a good day. The rest is just soy and cum.

Big Brother, although no idea how that would go over in 2023. I would expect poorly

In theory Big Brother but no way it would be any semblance of what it should be.
TWS, would be nostalgic purely because I’m a north county SD local.
Anyone on a SLAP message board that doesn’t say SLAP needs to take a good look at themselves.

All of them. I would get every mag I could get my hands on as a kid and spent hours upon hours reading each one mulitple times front to back. I still prefer a great photo over most clips. I realize it's never gonna happen, but man, having more mags would sure be nice.

I much prefered 80s Transworld over Thrasher at the time. Better photographs, better quality printing, more pages, more artsy, less low-level punk bands (and I liked punk at the time), better writers (Rocco, GSD, with Blender for some visuals). So I'm going for TWS, though it wasn't as good.

I would love a hybrid version that had old columns from different mags: Skarfing Material from Thrasher; Trick Tips from TWS (some of them were pretty tongue-in-cheek and fun back in the day); and the 'Reasons Why' column from Slap (to name just one of many I'd love to see again).

And hand the keyboard over to some guest pros more often, not just to recount their Summer Euro tour but to wax poetic and maybe even gripe a little bit.
