Ed is an amazing guy. It's hard being an older skater, at 42 I often think when is the big injury coming that takes me off my board for good. I always looked at Ed and thought, he is still out there ripping, I have no excuse....

And I still think it is lame how all those folks fucked Ed over by quitting, they wanted to stand with Bam over some stupid fucking video royalties, which Ed had nothing to do with it (Tum Yeto was in charge of that), where is Bam now? A fucking rich drug addict that doesn't even skate!! Good choice there guys!!

I was stoked to see that Toy Machine is making a 9" board, going to order one next paycheck, Ed deserves the support! A true skaters skater!!

Best one yet! Great ender to an altogether great epicly later'd! Good job O'Dell!

Deanna's speach really touched me (probably like most people on here). Kinda reminded me of the Guy Mariano episode where his wife talks about all the shit they've been through. Only kinda though.

That was the best thing ever.

Hats off to O'Dell and the Tempster

Ugh.  Was hoping I wasn't going to have to see that broken leg clip again.  He took it incredibly well though.  $100 says it was Geoff who said he wouldn't skate with him if he wore a helmet.  Top 5 episode.  Coulda been longer.  Coulda used a Caswell interview.

also I broke my fibula almost at the same time as Templeton and that conversation with his wife really resounded with me.
(I'm 40 with 2 kids....wich makes injuries are hard as fuck to deal with).
Not to mention concussions are way scarier, Templeton's really gnarly to have kept on skating through 6 goddamn!

After watching the final part, I really don't give a fuck about hating on Monster/street League/jock attitude/dylan being too handsome/Pops milking it/whatever we hate here usually.... Skateboarding is great. point. Thanks to personalities like Ed.

And I'm glad he makes me remember it today and that I manage to sneak a little session this evening.

While some of them quitting was dumb, certain ones made sense. Its hard to see a philly based guy like Kerry turning down the opportunity to get on the ground floor of what was an east coast brand with Habitat. I back Ed and am glad to see Toy Machine back with such a sick team. But I can understand why guys who were friends with Bam would quit because they felt Tod Swank was fucking him over. If I worked at a company and my boss was a great guy and loved to hang out with him, but I believed the guy above him was fucking me over on my pay check i would probably walk away too.

Agreed. Skateboarding could be in a worse state even with Street League and corporations. Look at even rollerblading and how that shit is non existent now when it was all over the place at it's peak. I know that is sort of what could happen to skateboarding but for the most part, it's not. Small brands still exist and it's almost a good thing that we have skaters like Dylan now a days. If everyone was so likable, I would almost think that would be boring.

Listening to Denna spill her guts about Ed was extremely touching.  :'(

And confronting the fact that'll I will be too old to skate someday is scary.

So much of my identity is built upon the fact that I skate. That in itself is fucked - because what it is to be a skateboarder, to me, is largely somewhat composed of 20 years of skateboarding marketing through videos and ads.

It's a strange world - no pun intended.

No taking away from Deanna's real talk, but any loving wife will say the same thing. My wife loves to see me post-skating, how I come home with a smile on my face, but always goes on about the dangers involved, even though I'm only skating curbs. She makes it sound like the end of the world if I ever sprained my ankle. I can see Deanna getting a bit more serious about her viewpoint considering all of the slams Ed has taken over the years, though.

Like everyone said that was incredible and made me emotional, its definitely hard to imagine the end of skateboarding in my life because at this point its been so important for so long.

But can someone tell me what Tosh Townend was doing in the likes of Ed and Hosoi at that park or whatever?
