......but I had the raddest night ever......I skated for the first time in a few months(I get injured easily these days)....and had a blast.....it's so sick to know that even after months(in my case ....years) of being off of your skateboard that things will come back to you so fast....I'm so stoked.....shit is fuckin' lovely......tomorrow night will be a blast also.....at least I know that I saved the cash for cab fare because I know it's about to get straight Gnarls Barks......but anyway......peace to all the internet junkies keepin' it true on these beloved Slap boards......on that note.....I'll see ya at the bar!!!

All the 30+ geezers on the board should try and get a new photo or clip and we should post them up for riducule by all. Not some clip from your prime but something new. I was thinking about trying to get a pick repping one of the small time boards anyway.

Hahahahaha......a 30 and over section would be funny.....on a cool note though...the owner of the skate shop I do graphics for gave me a great opportunity to purchase a 1968 Impala 2-door Custom for about 600 bucks.....I also have a 1974 Mercedes Benz 280 I can pick up for the same price....I'm thinking about it so I can have something new to tinker around with.....today will be good.......I can't wait for tonight.....should be fun.

I turned 37 a couple of months ago.
Skating 20 years plus but I'm pretty well preserved.
I think a lot of people just get more comfortable on their boards as they get older, and some people start to feel their age or whatever.
It's all how you take care of yourself and a lot of it's mental.
If you tend to whine and complain about getting older and your body not being able to take abuse anymore, etc., then you are more likely to feel shitty or beat down.
There are TONS of ripping dudes in and out of the industry that are thirty and up, forty and up even.
Age doesn't really mean shit unless you let it.
Sounds gay or cliche' but it's pretty much the truth.

my friend has a 1950's something benz that runs on diesel. its kind of a pain the ass, but his car is sweet.
No.....it's a 6 cylinder that runs on regular unleaded.....it's in good shape and pretty small as in 1975 the body style gained some weight and became a little more bulky than the previous years.....it almost reminds me a bit of an early BMW 2002 but a Mercedes instead......I'm going to check it out tomorrow afternoon.....I'll let you know what's up with it when I get the chance....

I agree with Sleazy that it'd be fun to try and get something current to share. Although, I have a hard time with photos or video because I really don't have any friends that skate all the time. Mostly just me a my dog at the park.

i skated the carlsbad gap at 30 years old and it hurt less then skating it at 18, if you take care of yourself physically and mentally your 30's should be your prime. lets call this the "in your prime" thread!

I didn't want to add another topic, but yesterday marked 20 years on a skateboard for me. It was so damn windy I ended up leaving after an hour, but I had a blast, as always.

'86 was a pretty popular year...i started in '85 but '86 was the year i figured out there were pros and all that shit....

21 one years of skateboarding, 15 of them sponsored and 10 of them pro (well not in the last 2 or 3 years) its hard for me to believe its been that long and im still so into doing it.

If I hadn't stopped I'd be at 20 years. From 13 to 22 then starting back up at 28. I can honestly say that I have a better time rolling around the park now than I ever did growing up. I was never very good at skating, but now it totally doesn't phase me like it used to.

I joined the club just days ago. Started in '91. I can do every trick I could do in high school and plenty that I couldn't do then. golgo13's vid was inspiring indeed. I wouldn't be surprised to see Danny Way still megaramping well into his 40s and beyond.

I'm 27. Landed my first ollie on Rosh Hashanah '89. Got my first real board in May 1990--a Naked I bought from this dude who lived in my neighborhood. 1992-95 were the best years.
Funny to think how all those years of skating led only to prolific message board posting.
