Not a sale, but I was looking at decks on Tactics and saw the shop and pro ones side by side. It’s insane how much pro ones cost, especially when Tactics uses BBS too. You’re literally paying $33 more for the name.

Which is fine sometimes. It’s nice to support the industry, but decks are getting too expensive.

uk/eu heads, source have had a sale on for a while. seems to be mostly smaller decks but a few larger sizes there too. picked up a heated wheel and quasi in the last few months for £33 each. some quasi/gx/px brands for basically half price.

https://www.sourceskate.com/collections/skateboard-decks?sort=price%7Easc

palomino also have various trucks on sale

No, started at 35 and I’ll be 38 soon. And the prices have gone up since then. So it’s okay for me to point out the price increase. Cause even though I’m a newer skater, I still feel it.

Thanks! Kinda crazy I already have a 1000 posts here. And most of them are in gear threads. Time to slow down 😂

Anyway, sorry for the derail. Back to posting deals. A lot of sites are selling the 480 Highs for $60-$70: https://skateparkoftampa.com/spot/p.aspx?ID=95426&CID=30&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=&scid=scplp477192&sc_intid=477192&gad_source=1

They’re normally $110. Great shoe with lots of impact protection.

Ok, just around 2 years. Covid era when gear was at record low prices online.

What im getting at is that its important to support local shops, even with high prices. People on slap regardless of income level is hunting for the lowest price and whatever, stocking up and building an “ice chest,” skating decks for 2 or 3 weeks. Whatever, do whatever y’all want but shops gotta stay open

Totally. I don’t have a local shop, but I’ve ordered from Kinetic, Orchard, Vault, and Cowtown. I still support when I can, but with everything else going up too, it makes sense why some skaters buy cheap shop decks on occasion.

My takeaway was:
Gear shortage - hoard gear, you never know when you're going to find the size and shape you like
Gear prices plummet - hoard gear, they will never be this low ever again
Slight discount on expensive gear - hoard gear, take any discount while prices are high
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m
