Yea, there were some issues with copyrights so I just had to mute them. There werent to many songs I had to remove though. From what I remember it was TK’s article, a piece from the Danny Way documentary, and some ads in the commercial breaks

In 2002 (possibly even 2001) és had just released Menikmati. Arto and McCrank were two of the biggest and best skaters in the world.
És were putting on two demos in Melbourne. My best friend took the day off school and travelled two hours to Melbourne and attended the demo at Riverside skatepark (where McCrank does the big fs flip at the start of the segment). He called me with insane tales of Arto, McCrank and Dollin ripping the place to pieces. My Dad drove my friends and I to the demo a couple of days later at Camberwell skatepark. Unfortunately it rained all day and the demo was cancelled. I got to sight Arto and McCrank at an instore however which was cool.
Being long before YouTube, IG etc seeing this demo footage and the accompanying street footage from the trip stoked me out more than ever when the On Video was finally released. How's Dollin's ollie, ollie (over Arto), fs flip down the 3x 10 stairs at Parliament station. Gnarly!!

DGKalis singlehandedly reviving Stevie Williams' career (as well as the Love scene in general) by providing him a free place to stay and boards to skate is amazing. The fact that this occurred because Kalis was on a visit to Philly and ran into Stevie drinking during the daytime in a subway makes it feel as if it was meant to be. And Stevie ran with that opportunity. Respect.

Is there a video where duffy’s front 5050 (the one before the slappy) gets discussed in detail amongst a couple pros or something? Rings a huge bell n would have a massive nostalgia trip, it’s from somewhere else other than the Duffy issue. Could be tripping

I watched the Emerica one yesterday. What a crazy fucking lineup. And Reynolds, how faded! Was waiting for him to pop up the whole time and then "Hi! Bye!" I was cracking up.

Put them on Vimeo and password protect them, then give out the password here, either in the thread or via DM? I just saw a targeted ad telling me that vimeo lets you show your stuff to only who you want to see it so I'm hyper aware that's a feature they have. Ironically, I think it played before a Yourtube video.

First off, if I could Gnar you, I would give you one everyday. I only watched the first episode when I first saw this thread, cause I had today off and I was going to binge watch all of them. I was bummed when I went to my favorites and saw they had already been taken down. My brother ended up with all the skate videos we had as pre teens/mid 20’s and I’m pretty sure we had almost all of these. Called him to see if I could go and dig through the boxes/bins they were in. He had at least 60 videos from 1993-2008. He fucking threw them away. If you do what jakeumms suggest, please keep us posted!

Another big fuck you to 411VM, who still thinks they can monetize these things despite the fact that they will NEVER clear the digital music rights and there are probably <400 people on the planet willing to pay for copies.

Not sure if this is fully known but the rights to 411VM stuff seems to now be in Transworld's hands. They have just recently started putting up 411s on their YT channel. So far, they are up to issue #3 and also put up the DC Euro Super Tour segment. Here's hoping they'll just eventually put all of that stuff up -- On Video included -- and keep trying to make money off merch sales.

411vm and On Videos had proper music licensing for all of their videos. Transworld does own these now and will eventually release both collections in their entirety for free.

I really doubt this. That is to say, Internet music distribution rights would not necessarily be included when VHS rights were secured (because those contracts pre-dated widespread Internet video) and 411 probably did not licensed the music in perpetuity.
They have officially rereleased the first few volumes online a few times and I assume they did some clearing of music issues, but when they get to later volumes I think it's going to be very tricky to get clearances from acts on bigger labels for the kind of $ that would make sense.

Can anybody find Around the World 1 and 2 in full? I only saw it once in when the shop got it in around 2003 or something. The only thing I remember is a monkey stole Kenny Reed's hat and it went flying down a mountain or something.

I love this thread, so much gold. I watched almost all the ON series; thank you again Daniel. This 411 here its super special. Chepesent was a super important point on whats going on at the time here. The older cats were doing amazing things on that park. It was surreal to the little little little twelve years old me but definitely sparked something special...a bond to skateboarding even to this day. My favorite Chepesent moment is this music video clip filmed there. Its so fun still to this day.
