What do you guys think about the latest addition to the Huf family? They should really concentrate on the shoes and less surfing/other shit.
HUF Quality Footwear Introduces Craig Anderson (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31iT8EyYSjA#)

If Craig Anderson was Jewish you could have written "Is Huf biting off more than it can Jew?"
-
HUF has more money now than ever thanks to his partnership deal.

This just shows that they dont need to concentrate on just their shoes.
They got money to fuck around with, and Craig Anderson is sick

Yeah but they're shoes could be made better? The Galaxy and Ramondetta's the wackiest soles ever. You can wear em out in a week.

HUF is the new FLAMEBOY
they shit gonna be everywhere and on everything!

except Huf doesn't look like flameboy.
maybe more like stussy.
-
I imagine the surfers are a result of his new "partnership". I know a lot of people don't like huf already but I imagine it will get much worse as time goes on.
-
this was discussed months back
-
Already irrelevant :(

Airs are the only thing that these surf industry assholes can sell surfing with. Surfing is done ON the wave. their just selling clothes to non surfing xgames watchers with all those ugly shitty airs.
-
I don't necessarily find opening their brand to other guys a bad move as it opens some market, but I hope they don't get 20 surfers. Keep it low, a surfers there, a singer there, maybe some artists there in order to develop the "lifestyle" image of the brand.
Whoever said they should focus on their sole is totally right. The sole is crucial for a company to succeed in skateboarding, most of their shoes look good and the team is perfect, they only need a good vulc and a good cupsole.
Why aren't all brands offering a good herringbone pattern vulc sole like Gravis or Nike is beyond me. Nobody cares about your "traction system" or whatever, and only Vans is able to do a right honeycomb sole.
People don't care about the aesthetic of the sole, they just want it to perform well and resist.
The only people that could care about the aesthetic of the sole are skaters, and they don't give a fuck about it while it performs.

we are in the same mood

I haven't skated a pair of Hufs yet. I think they look good, but something has been holding me back. I've been waiting for something to teeter me over the edge. I thought it would be something in the skateboard realm, but now this. Shit. I continue to teeter.

are airs in surfing like darkslides in skating? does that dude that did a kickflip on a surfboard get hated on for it?

fortune teller done telled the future! Well done.

Is surfing switch a thing?

I definitely feel like within surfing there are a core group of guys that don't get recognition all because they don't surf contests, I reckon HUF is just trying to shine a light.
There was also some chat that he wasn't impressed with European stockists, chain skate stores- chain footwear stores that don't sell skateboards etc. So supposedly there will be a shake up here in Britain and Europe so that core shops get priority and an overall better deal.
