So let me get this straight: on June 1st Girl posts their logo/black power fist on IG with the caption "Time to be better to each other. Now. Not next time. Equal rights for all humanity. Be safe out there & love to all."
Barely a week later, Brandon Biebel filmed, encouraged, and laughed at the severe beating of a clearly mentally ill black man and posted it without a single drop of concern or remorse. Is this the "being better to each other" that Girl insists on happening "now"? Or is it just more corporate pandering from a bunch of complacent white dudes who will overlook shitty behavior from their shitty friends? Because thats exactly what it looks like. That little black square doesn't mean a whole lot when you're cool with watching a defenseless black dude get beaten to a pulp.
I'm not big on cancel culture, but what in the actual fuck is wrong with Crail/Girl to not understand that we are at the apex of this country being fed up with black lives not mattering? Do they think that a bunch of hollow virtue signaling on IG negates the optics of their (white) pro riders encouraging more violence towards the black community?
Fuck Biebel, fuck Girl. They could have denounced this and nipped it by now, but I hope this ruins them.
