I know you’ve had a tough time. COVID, the political compass swinging from vain totalitarian to nursing home centrist. All sorts of problems.

i'm going to take it as an encouraging sign that i am proceeding into my fiftieth year on this earth--and as an American--in a sound and healthy way, that i not only had no idea that Tom Hanks had a rapping son, but that he had a son who made songs like "White Boy Summer"
would it be the acme of irony, that i had to find out about this from someone who does not live in Amerikkka? thanks for nothing man...

Had to watch the video to even know what you were talking about, hilarious.
Here in the US, we have seen a surge in advertisements/rebranding from main media outlets, pop brands, music labels, etc. in which the 'face' of the company is now anything and everything except white-males. Everyone is proving how anti-racist/sexist/etc they are by trying to showcase Black, Asian, Indian, Trans.
They are also trying to reach new markets, which is a whole separate discussion. I guess I'm trying to say that 'white bois' have gone from being de-facto in to de-facto out at least, as far as most nationally accepted companies are willing to portray them.
I think Chet and his audience are feeling burnt out, targeted, oppressed even, from enjoying life where ever, when ever, unencumbered by the current social/political debate of whether their good-time has been funded through systems of oppression.
'White boy summer, BLM is a bummer, I just want to enjoy a beer without hearing I'm a slum-lord', something like that?
Is that an answer to the question? I actually had a hard-time pinpointing what you were asking, so this is more of a commentary on what I think caused the phenom.
