Saw it last night. The best way to put it is that they did pretty well with what they’re working with. Definitely not your typical Girl video but still an alright video.

Neils Bennett is first and has a really good part and a lot of really good switch skating then the intro after that for some reason. Then I think Brophy has a part which is pretty typical Brophy nothing out of the ordinary and sprinkled with a Carrol clip, Jeron clip and Beibel clip. Then Manchild and Simon Bannerot share a part which is really good because of Manchild. Malto part and I don’t remember anything memorable it was a bore part. McCrank footage is in there either after the Manchild part or before with one Cory Kennedy bowl line but not really much there but cool to see McCrank footage. Then Griffin Gass has closer and the parts really good definitely surprising from the footage I’ve seen before.

I don’t know how the hell some of you go to premiers and remember tricks and all that the next day as clearly I have not but I’ll share a little story to make up for it.

We got to the premier at 8(start time) and there were about 7 people and my Friend started joking about the lack of turn out and the shop owner said very blatantly “I didn’t expect anyone to come here no one really even knows the video exists or is coming out” McCrank right beside visibly bummed moved away from conversation to other side of room. Felt bad for the guy but all in all at least they came out with a decent video.

The skating is fucked up but then again it's 2018, skating as a whole is on a fucked up level. Between this, the Foundation vid and the Element vid, holy shit, I feel like a 17-year-old on eMule again just downloading big company videos and getting an idea of what professional skateboarding is. That being said, no disrespect to anybody's performance but to me Colin's skits stand out as the most memorable thing in the video (literally as in, the one bit that will stick with me). The Mike Mo one had me in tears (granted I wasn't sober), it's super well done and as close to the old Spike Jonze vibe as they could get, you can tell it's a labor of love. More Mike Carroll skate clips would have won me over (but as I was saying, it's 2018).

Maybe spend less time reminding us that you made Mouse and used to listen to the Beastie Boys, and more time farming a roster that can film a montage better than the one you gave us? I mean, if not, what's the point of having a team?

brophy skates to sly, a few tricks (some older) then biebel cameo; right into quick chocolate section to a dancehall track, no c-rob or chico tho (weirdly ancient raven clip too). malto skates to sharon jones; segues into mikemo/mandible skit. mcrank next, not really a part, mostly chill pacific nw/skatepark/tour footy plus cameo from breana(!)

tyler & simon skate to beastie boys, seemed short & sweet; manchild is good at skateboarding, seems definitive part still to come too (a good thing), most of simon's clips are older (guess injury kept him out of filming a lot past year). still think simon one to watch. griffin/mandible claw skit like silhouette said is classic crailtap, then ya he skates to ghostface. best part in the vid like everyone been saying
