who cares? one of the best parts of batb 4 so far has been willow in his post game interview. that alone made it worth having him. not to mention there have been a ton of very questionable pros on batb in regards to their flat ground abilities.

What's wrong with that? I start with that trick sometimes. I don't really apply any personal politics to what my first trick is in a game of SKATE though. To me they're not that serious...

If you didn't feel it was serious, then you wouldn't have felt the need to defend your decision to start off with lame tricks(in the context of skate games).

He shouldn't have even been invited. Just because he can laser flip doesn't mean he's good at flat.

he was invited out of popularity not skill...same reason why asta s pro

wow, that ground seems really slippery. i mean, did you see how far he was sliding when he fell down? i remember seeing something from blacklabel or slave, when they went to the berrics and everybody just slipped.

You're an idiot. The point I'm making is why invite someone that's going to lose in 5 or 6 turns? You could've invited some kid without a name that could've gotten him at least an a and helped him out. Willow is already pro, and sucks at flat.

lol seriously now, im pretty sure i already said that they invited him because he's funny, they have a history of inviting pros that aren't particularly good at flat, and they obviously realize that a game of skate isn't really all that serious and just don't care. I guess they didn't anticipate uptight geeks like you to over analyze their selection of participants and cry about it.

I understand that, but I don't. Who actually thought willow was good at flat? As soon as I saw his name i said he was going to get skunked unless he played appleyard. Which i just realized isn't possible because he's from them, too. So, there was no possible way he was going to beat anyone.

maybe it's part of an not-so-elaborate conspiracy to ensure team AMERICA wins.

Who knows?  A lot of pros have been surprises in these games, both in a good way and a bad way.  Like, who would have thought that Biebel, who flips in and out of mannys for a living, would lose to Appleyard?  Who would have thought that that Buezenitz, an dude who bombs hills for a living, would be that close to beating Cole?  Kirchart ended up being way better than I figured, Shane O'neil and Cory Kennedy ended up pulling epic choke jobs in the finals, sometimes people have a bad day and suck, or sometimes you can tell they aren't trying too hard.

Asta comes out with alot of great footage and did two of the most gnarliest tricks down the love gap. Sounds pretty pro deserving to me.

I just don't think it really matters at all, whether he's good at flat or not. I mean, he lost. Isn't that kind of enough? The invitations are by popular demand. I mean, clearly that's how Albert Nyberg got invited, and he didn't have much to offer to the flatground game. Not saying anything about his trick choice in particular, but the point still stands.

In short...does it REALLY matter?

huh? he almost won his game, and it's not fun to watch people lose in like 7 turns on stock tricks.

saying someone sucks at flat based on that amount of footage is just dumb. the tricks he landed he did well, that inward heel looked good but he fell off. nice switch heel. ect... thats a lot of pressure. anyway, if you dont think hes not
good at flatground, i have a feeling you are not good at all.
