Sup guys, does anyone have any weird, odd, or at least somewhat interesting smells they enjoy?
I like smelling my big puffy headphones, especially when they are extra sweaty while I’m at work.
I also really enjoy the smell of the inside of my upper lip.
I like to rub my inner upper lip on my hand then slightly dry it by rubbing under my lower lip right above the chin, and sniff it. It smells the best when my breath is at it’s worse too.
I like skunk smell also.
How about y’all?
-
my own farts.
-
Love the smell of chromoly or stainless being cut with a chopsaw. Burnt/smoldering cherry wood is pretty good too.
-
Wet wool or denim
A lot of people hate the smell of mentholated medicine smells but I love them (tiger balm, vicks, etc)
-
my own farts.
Who doesn't
-
The smell of my dad's camel cigarettes when he's smoking in the car. For some reason they just hit different.
-
Running my hand in the crease of my balls meeting my thigh like a credit card, and then smelling my pinky.
-
Petrol. I'm old fashioned like that.
-
Petrol. I'm old fashioned like that.
A while back I was at a busy petrol station with my girls (frankly fucking idiot) mother and was telling how much I liked the smell of petrol and she replies full volume "Me too, I'd make a good aboriginal".
If you've ever been to Australia (or know the country at all) you'll know how much of a fucking stupid racist comment that is.
Thankfully we have nowt to do with her anymore.

I like the smell of leaking gas an exhaustpipes sometimes. It makes me nostalgic for Bogota where I have spent some time when I was younger.

My cat. His fur has this weird subtle sweet smell to it that I find very comforting.
My guess is that it's the smell of his saliva from when he cleans himself?

Every so often, a touch of funk will accumulate behind the top of my ear or in the outside corner of my nostril. I only get one pinkie's dab worth of smell, and then it's gone. I have no point of comparison for that smell, really.
Toenail funk is alluring, but sometimes too strong, I guess cause it builds up.
This is all my own funk, of course. These smells would disgust me if I whiffed them off anyone else.
Gas, or "petrol," is of course a given. Not really a weird smell to like...
-
I like the corn chip smell of my puppies feet
Petrol and also the smell of a fresh opened can of tennis balls
-
The smell of sweat. Not pungent super strong but some light sweating. I’ll occasionally sniff my pit.
-
New shower curtains or inflatable water toys smell
Micro machines and heman toys.

I don’t think so. Ozone smells like chlorine, but sweeter. It’s what you smell from lightning storms.

It's called petrichor. Yeah, I love it too. In the past, I actually looked for and bought a bottle of petrichor perfume and a girlfriend would wear it for me.
Some weird smells I like include freshly cut metal. Don't know why. Also limburger cheese...any cheese, really.

Hot , humid day in Florida and then a thunderstorm rolls in , you can smell it in the parking lot.

Micro machines and heman toys.
Oh yes! I love those kind of plastic smells.
-
My wife when she forgets deodorant.
-
I think some vacuum cleaners produce a bit of ozone, too. I just learned the term petrichor and I’m hyped because I wasn’t aware there was even a word for it, or that other people like it.
Oh, it’s pungent and kind of awful, but ether fumes have a certain je-ne-sais-quoi about them.
-

That's the Ozone you're smelling when the rain hits the ground, I like Petrol, dog's feet they smell like fritos, certain bed pillows, books I love sniffing the crack of an older books especially musty, fresh cut grass smell is tight, burning leaves in the fall.

I like when I get a whiff of something that reminds me of another country I've visited.
-
A well used paintball field during/after practice (psp/nppl no turf) before procaps changed their paint in 2k15. Magic.. Memories man... Both formulas before the modern stuff. Co2 as well, dirty airlines, the dow 55/33 from intimidators and dm5's
Ripping hella pine, gums up the blade and it starts to build up and burn/melt a little. Great smell man. Pretty much everything in a woodshop
That home smell you get when you walk back inside from smoking a j. Generic smell but totally know the feeling/mindset
-
Some of these are making my stomach turn
I like:
The coffee area in grocery stores
Gasoline (not huffing it)
That shitty low grade pink soap they have everywhere
When you hug a girl, their “neck area”, whatever that is.
Edit: most of these are probably not considered weird. My mistake
-
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
-
Can't believe no one has said new car smell. It's basic AF like petrol but damn is it good.

Eh, general smells are chill too. Maybe I didn’t have to title the thread with “weird”

Does spray paint smell good to everyone or just retired graffiti writers?

Hmmm, can't think of many weird smells I like, but I do have a strange joy in the feeling of having a filling packed in your tooth. Something about that squeaking that goes all the way through your skull as they smash it in and mold it into place, but maybe that's just something I had to develop a love for by being a fat kid who ate tons of candy and would only brush my teeth 1-2x/week and would routinely need 4-8 fillings a year from how fucked up my mouth was.
I've changed, but then again, I also have about 15 crowns where actual teeth used to be, you can only fill in so many spots before that shit just gets capped off for good.
But I do miss that feeling, might have to ask the dentist if I can pay extra to have him do it, pull out the first round, and do it again just so I can feel it twice.
-
The smell of all the cleaning supplies mixed together with the smell of under the sink. Don't know why but I love it.
-
I like the cigarette smell that's in every casino, something about it hits different than when someone is smoking next to you outside.
-

Gotta go with that sweet, pungent, aromamatic blend of well bathed, pre-fucked pussy and ass when I treat the wife to a full figure 8, 2 in the pink, tongue dart in stink, salad toss FTW, though. Feel pretty savage after she's begged for me to pound out the gashes and shower my load between her sweetly spread ass cheeks. The aroma I described earlier now dried, feeling like I'm rocking something from Bed &Bath, wrapped in a facial mask, I tease her about not washing it off and going out like that. Love, love, love that shit.
-
fuck that's hot
-
welp, it's time for me to go
-

ultra flat black.
I also love the way Belton used to smell like circus peanuts
-
Anyone else prefer the smell of 2-strokes to just petrol?
-

I can’t fuck with tobacco smells especially indoors, reminds me of the piss and grease smell of alleys behind bars.

Book spines I have this weird obsession when opening a book or any kind of print magazine my first thing once I open a book is take a big whiff.

I'm the exact opposite, I think it comes from back at school we had a War Poetry book with some pretty gnarly images. I always remember the print on the book (particularly the spine) just stank.
Added to the images I was certain as a kid it was the smell of death. Even to this day the thought of sniffing a book spine creeps me out.
-
that petrichor stuff you guys talk about smells dope.
in the 90s, i loved the smell of a brand new snes game. it was probably the plastic wrap around the cartridge.
i also love the typical smell of gasstations and smoldering wood.

I use to work at a pc gaming shop/bookstore.
I found a copy of hell’s angels by H. S. Thompson it stank like shit, like someone wiped their ass with the book but there wasn’t any water damage that I could see but it still creeps in my senses anytime I see that book.
-
Not weird, but I love artificially fruit flavored scents. Banana is my favorite.
I also have a pair of old jeans that I used to wear every day. I refuse to wash them and they stink like an old lady house mixed with tomato soup and grilled cheese.
-
I lowkey like the way my shoes smell like buttered popcorn after a skate session turns my shoes into an oven.

Skated wooden parks in my youth, so the smell after doing powerslides on wood (or failed attempts on the hip), is given.
My grandma's house. It has a particular smell.
I drive an old car from 1974 from time to time, the smell of the fumes and petrol in the cabin is pretty strong. When pushing the car hard, you need to open the window. I love it.
Pine-flavored shower gel. The one I know you can only get in Italy, so every time I drive over I stock up for a year or two.
-
I've been skating barefoot for a while cus I couldn't fit socks in my shoe. Now my shoes smells like my parents old dog. Man was it disgusting, but it was the most friendly and loyal dog we ever had. I miss that dog so much!

Vegan chicks body smell.
I was driving up to UMass with this vegan gal probably 7 years ago, I was also doing the vegan thing and she started talking about how i smelled good- I hadn't showered in a minute, was riding the bike and skating a bunch, and practicing lots of yoga. She asked me to smell her and after taking a whiff i was totally turned on. I don't know if it was pheromones or what, but when I catch that same body smell, I'm like a bee to the hive, man. Can't resist.
I can't always smell it because my nose is mostly desensitized to all but the freshest, but weed. I love the smell of weed. Gas. Fruit. Stank dank. Harvest time kills me, cause i've got the worst raw ganja allergy. Lots of folks break out with some hives and all that but my eyes swell shut and i can't breath for a few days. wish i knew about n95s back on the hill. it's a tragic joke.
farts after eating a good dal usually smell pretty good too.

I love the smell of AC units air that fit into house windows.
I can sit in front of one and smell it and close my eyes and picture my grandmas house from my childhood. I can walk through the whole house in my mind and I usually take the time to do a full walk through when I stop to sniff the AC unit.
-
Fresh paper straight out of the printer
Dog food
Wet dog
-
Nail polish
Apple cider vinegar (it fills me up inside)
Opaque grey rotten smelling tampon

Hand sanitizer.....

There Must be some chemistry in that resin that makes me feel better after being bummed for breaking it.
-
Gasoline
Permanent markers
Spray paint
Glue
Timber
The slightly toxic smell of new mouse pads
The smell a campfire leaves on your jacket
The combined smell of beer and cigarettes

Im not a weird smells guy. I like all those basic bitch late autumn/early winter scents: hot chocolate, cider, pine trees, cinnamon, pumpkins, and coffee.
The only "weird" smell I like is that mild musty-vagina-esque smell some women get after a run or if they were stupid horny 5 minutes ago.
-
my coffee piss

I’m using this thread to tell someone/anyone that I just had a first date with a woman who I’m pretty sure is going to be my wife, and when we finally kissed at the end of the night her body odor almost made me cum in my jeans. So that.
That, and gasoline is good.

I work in a print shop and everyone always complains of the smell when they come in for the first time.
