Swim Skateboards (Terp and Plunkett)
« on: November 27, 2023, 05:16:13 PM »

Promo out this week

Seems like an odd couple, but if it gets them psyched to skate again, it’s a mitzvah.

Thought Swim was kind of a Terp board shaping hobby at first, but I’ve liked what I’ve seen

Plunkett rules. If Terp and Swim are getting him hyped to skate and film, then this can only be a good thing

Wonder how much footage Dan’s sitting on from that Skate Mental video that was supposed to happen.

I like it. Always loved Kevin Terpening. The last end of éS before they went out was so sick to me. Kevin, early Stevie Perez, Bobby Worrest, Mike Anderson, Brad Cromer, Kellen James…

that era and éSpecial were pretty incredible for me. All of late Alien too.

Kevin was pretty early with the no comply innovation too. Onto the picnic table into nose manual was so fucking rad to me.

He’s definitely talented and I feel like he’s never had a really defining part that he’s deserved. Glad to see he’s still at it.

Plunkett has never had THE part either.   He has amazing clips on IG, but it seems like he’s been running SM for a bit and maybe this move provides him with more equity/ownership in a thing and the chance to grow it

let’s go home

Stoked for the possibility of new Kevin Terpening footage.
Sidenote- that PlayGirl Van driving by at 3:35 belonged to a guy I knew in NYC and it always got a big reaction. I borrowed it once and a homophobic guy on the street threatened to kill me. Memories.

gotta say i am interested how this turns out. Couple years (maybe ten by now) ago plunkett had some good output in some atl scene vid if i remember correctly and even though he never had THE part never seemed like the lazy kind but more like a dude who had to work a job and skate on the side.

His insta is pretty great skateboarding most of the time.

regarding SWIM: i kinda liked the lil low profile roll out on insta that might have not even been one.....if they keep it small that could turn into a cool/ really likd brand.

happy for some dan and terp footy, always liked their skating

There’s a glimpse of Plunkett pro model on IG.    Looks like a nice mellow art design, kinda Neil blender/early new deal illustration

Good call on the VHS Tape part. He and Kevin are both underrated wizards.

(also, I remember watching Kevin Radley’s part from that video a lot too & still listen to the song all the time haha)
