Looks like it might have been custom painted.

I don't have much info, but it looks like it was sold on eBay by this guy - http://www.ebay.com/usr/aka-tk421 (http://www.ebay.com/usr/aka-tk421)

Might be worth sending him a message and figuring out where he got it - or if he made it himself.

Haha no, not on here anyway. I mean I feel like I'm asking questions to a wall. There was another user that mentioned the deck so I asked him about it too, no response from him either. No surprise I suppose

Purchased one for my dad for father's day. He got me into skating and always blasted Led Zeppelin every Saturday at goddamn 8 o'clock in the morning haha. When I got it I just assumed it was a mass produced graphic deck but then I started looking it up and realized that there was literally no information about it. I found one blog post from 2010 that mentioned it as "rare" and "included in Mothership box set." But that's literally all I found. I was just hoping to be able to tell my dad something about it when I gave it him.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him.  He never mentioned how much he's willing to sell his rare deck for....

I dont really care about the cost, nor am I looking to purchase. I just want to know where it came and who made and all that stuff. I'm not looking to sale mine, it's going to the Pops for fathers day.

Well I suppose I'm giving up. My best guess is it was put out by Punked Decks or somebody made it using one of those custom deck websites. So it might be one of a kind, but I don't think it's particularly special haha. Still looks good though!

Hey hey mama said the way you move,Gon’ make you sweat, gon’ make you groove.aka-tk421 has a rare Led Zeppelin skate deck from the Mother Ship boxset that was released by Rhino Records. I’m sure some of you have noticed the awesome artwork by the talented Mr. Shepard Fairey. This is an awesome collectors piece to add to your Led Zeppelin collection. I would love to have big framed poster of this artwork.

Haha not quite as weak as your reading skills! (kidding). Scroll up and you'll see that I mentioned that blog post as it was the only thing i could find. Didn't see any point in linking it because it was a dead end and I don't think the information there is accurate. I've messaged the ebay user mentioned in the post but he has been inactive for quite some time so I don't expect to hear back. And I dont believe that the deck was put out with the Mothership box set, or else it would be pretty easy to find on google.

I hope you understand he ordered a number of blanks from a distributor, however many he wanted to do for the album release...it wasn't a series or nothing with like girl, baker, santa cruz, or element if that is what you're thinking. Your answer is going to be like bareback or ps stix or something like that.

But I could be wrong too, good luck finding out more detail, cool gift!

Oh cool, thanks man! The problem is though that I don't know if he was actually involved with the deck. Obviously he did the artwork, but I can't find anything suggesting a skate deck was put out. That's why I was thinking somebody just made one themselves or something like that. Do you have a source saying Obey was actually involved in the deck production?

No I don't but googling Obey skateboards comes up with other decks they've made in the past so best bet it's an obey board associated with the album release. Anymore details is obviously a mystery, i.e. how many were produced, how they got into the market, etc.. Too bad no one on the forum knows!

Yea Shepard Fairey (Obey) actually got started doing deck graphics. I'm familiar with his decks and I just haven't ever seen this one, but that doesn't mean it wasn't out there at some point. Who knows, quite the mystery

For the sake of closure. I am now the proud owner of this mysterious deck. Based on everything I've found, the most likely origin of this deck is a 2007 Guitar Center Sweekstakes in conjunction with Atlantic Records, Warner, and Rhino entertainment promoting the release of the Mothership Box Set. It seems as though it was never given away and no one knew about it. Nothing too special, just a unique deck with a cloudy history
