i don’t know that it’s that but, i will say it obviously sounds like he has a real anger problem. people who do stuff like that in relationships, the kind of people who black out for a second and make irrational decisions (especially when they include violence) usually snap out of it shortly after and feel very guilty so, they try to fix it as quickly as they can to make it “go away”. i just can’t imagine being a semi “famous” person, at least within skating, whose been around as long as he has and also has kids… i can’t imagine being him and having that posted about me on social media without ever responding to it or making a statement. it’s not a good look.

Do skateboarders often have interesting brains because of how fucked up skateboarding really is? Or, do they gravitate towards skateboarding because of their interesting brains?

I think once you get stuck wondering why we're here and what this whole thing is about, it's inevitable to reach conclusions that sound ridiculous.

Honestly, not that crazy of a youtube, given the subject matter and how insane other religious folks take it.

It's funny you say that, I (and all the homies) like the graphic too; I think the blk/red/green works better than the 8.5 orange/blue/green (which is also an amazing shape for you 8.5 riders).

The foy twin is a hybrid (to me anyway), especially after skating so many twins...crail twins feel the same (tho not as full). Habitat are BIG BOY noses, Quasi and dlx, mellow/wide tails, the two new cosmic SC twins (which seem to be phasing out fast) have long canoe noses, just gross. This foy (at least in the pic) leans towards a nose rather than a tail but when riding it 'it doesn't feel like either'

I found a cheap SC twin (the one twin from them I've not skated); hopefully it stacks up.

If you are on the fence about an 8.25 twin, I gotta say that this one is 'the one' and I've skated just about all the 8.25s out there (not the toymachine which also has a true 14.25 WB and long at 32") PLUS this is the rare breed with a larger than 14" WB so there's that if it matters to you.

Truth be told I'm still waiting for an 8.3 holy grail twin.

I'm on the SC 8.4 twin and I'm liking it a lot, wouldn't mind keeping a stack. The kicks aren't as pointy as I originally thought and the length at 32" with 14.25" WB is great with Venture Forged, easier to manage than the Habitat / AWS. The graphics are the biggest downside, I'll take the bland Habitat Apex graphic over the eagle / cat monstrosity.

Regarding the gold rail in Melbourne. It’s not actually the one everyone skated in the 00s. The city put in two more rails (one either side of the original, one bigger one smaller) the one Gabbers skates here is bigger by a few stairs, the original one is still in the middle and has a pillar at the top.

I always liked the pillar at the top - both aesthetically and for the additional difficulty factor- but have to admit that I didn’t notice its absence here.
I assumed they had put in new rails - mainly because of recent footage and the old “main” one I had heard was fully bowed / nearly wrecked after years of tricks (mostly Dollin slamming fast kickflips down into it).

Yeah the original is still there, not many people skate it anymore though as you land on blind bumps (and the one next to it is pretty perfect)

Is it still a sketchy part of town (I remember magazine articles talking about it being wild at night)

It’s not really “sketchy” per se, it’s downtown Melbourne and is the main station so it’s extremely busy. It’s only really skateable in the early AM on a weekday/public holiday. 24hr trains on the weekend so it’s full of drunks coming home from a night out.

rad rat looking better than ever damn

That one gets mentioned in bens new video

Yeah, I asked him about it during the live chat, he simply said "it isn't a shoe for me".

Barefoot shoe shapes are ugly af (just look at that white monstrosity posted above...ain't nobody got time for that); and while this is probably the better looking of the bunch, it's priced too damn high as you can get two pairs, hell five pairs with that fastbreak sale, of a skate shoe that is proven and looks 'normal'.

I went with Wolves in 6 and it took 7. I will be surprised if this next series does not go 7.

I’m going Mavs in 7. But it’s possible Wolves in 6. This is the most fun I’ve had watching basketball since 2017.

This is just some general deck nerdiness but I got my hands on a Pylon. Pipeline concave. Here’s the look if anyone is interested. DEEEEEEP! And stiff.

Shape and concave look like it is a Zero board.
Edit: Does anyone know if OSM presses their own decks or are they imported?

a few years ago, my answer would've been Vans, but then they revamped their skate line to feel like hot garbage.

Now it's NB#

Anyone else not have a doubt in the world that the reason Chris Cole called the traveling windshield repair man so quickly was to hide the evidence of his abusive rage and ensure that no questions were asked?
[close]
i mean that’s also just what you do when your windshield is broken so bad you can’t see out of it
[close]

Oh, my bad, you're right: he's just super efficient when it comes to auto repairs.

lol, i’m not even trying to defend him but what else are you supposed to do? Yeah you could get it towed but that’s a big hassle

Idk, maybe spend a night reflecting on your behavior?
