that suede patch on the heel looks like grass, and kills, what IMO would be a fun colorway. I could still maybe get away with these as skate only, not really trying to rock them casually

I absolutely do not understand the appeal of a mid 2000's mall shoe colorway when there are more neutral options that will likely sell better.

They will produce signifigantly less of this colorway
Natas gets a shoe thats clearly "The Natas" colorway.
Diversifies the the product Line at lower risk
Imagine for second, natas wanted your standard B/Wgum. That colorway is done. They can never do it without natas's name without drama.
I'm sure natas picked his own colors and did something fun and doesn't really care about sales
Projects like this are about marketing, not sales.

I was going to say this but couldn’t figure out a good way to phrase it. But yeah, the 440s, or 600s would be sick in that color.

Is anyone really asking for a Natas shoe?

not my cup of tea but as others have pointed out its a tribute to his famous pro model deck

i also googled natas etnies and they're leather hi tops so kinda makes sense.

Girls from my 8th grade class in 07 would love those Natas’. Big gonna  grab an auntie Anne’s pretzel then steal a pin from hot topic vibe.

Alex Olson never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

These look way better than the first model, yet nothing to write home about... I can see the toe piece getting unstitched after a couple of sessions.
I wonder if Scott Johnston designed those before getting fired.

honestly, just that natas got a signature shoe in 2024 is pretty sick. putting that aside, it's his shoe, it's his colorway. they didn't make this to appeal to anyone besides natas. It's pure 80s, and a nice little tribute. I would buy it and wear it 100%. Does it look like those old mall-core shoes? Yeah, but who do you think inspired that?

Do you have any info on where he is going? Like is it another skate shoe company or a lifestyle brand that is dipping into skate shoes? From the way he was explaining it it sounded like a fashion brand like Golden Goose or P448.

I guess similar to a regular Samba. Should be fairly skate able, but didn't try them myself.

I have no clue tbh...

Puma trying to get back into skating again?

I feel like I see them do stuff like this every now and then only for them to bow out quietly.
