Yeah, sex with popsicle stick bitches sounds awesome.
But the august issue of Vanity Fair is pretty good. I only read the (well written) article about how US use of agent orange is deforming a 3rd generation in Vietnam. But they also had articles about 9/11 conspiracies and the killing of some conservationist in Africa. After looking it over, I didn't even bother with TSM.
Yeah, the August issue was a pretty good one. I think Vanity Fair is one of the better magazines out there. Their coverage of the Iraq War and American politics is some the best, in my opinion. It's also nice to read a magazine that has articles longer than a page or two. For all you out there who truly wonder why someone would read Vanity Fair, I feel sorry for you. Open your mind just a little and ignore whatever flavor of the month celebrity they put on the cover to sell a few more magainzes at the grocery checkout line and read some of the articles. There is alot of bullshit in that magazine(but nowhere near as much as People, Cosmo, TIME, or Transworld), but overall I would much rather see pictures of Nicole Ricjhie, Lynday Lohan, or some models between thought provoking and well written articles than look at a skate magazine for a few decent photographs, 8-paragraph long "articles" aimed at 14 year olds, and a complete lack of current events coverage. Top it all off with male-models ads of P-Rod and a bunch of other kooks looking "fresh", and "extreme" advertising and you have a magazine that I would barely accept for free. This is why I subscribe to Vanity Fair and not a skateboard magainze. Also, what I read in Vanity Fair actually comes in handy in conversations that occur outside of internet message boards and helps me avoid becoming an ignorant, self absorbed doofus with nothing to talk about to people who don't skate.
