Maybe I'm out of the loop but what the fuck is this? New bearing company or what. Heavy hitting team regardless.

Why do people think it's even necessary to start new bearing companies?I doubt anybody involved with Rollers is investing any of their time into bearing reserach.
It is because you can literally run the whole company out of your bedroom closet?
What's the difference between this and Hard Luck if that's still a thing?

You answered your own question. If people think there is money to be made, they’ll try and do it. If you have some connections and slight know how in dealing with Chinese manufacturers or even distributors and are pro/heavy connects with pros, bearing company is probably the easiest shit to start up. People don’t do this for “the culture” or whatever and they shouldn’t, even if they present themselves as core or caring about skateboarding even that can be considered part of their marketing whether their intentions are true or not.

It probably costs 15-20 cents per bearing to make with custom branding, and you can sell it for $20-30 with good marketing.

That's FAT profit margins.

I forgot the most pure money grab in skateboarding, hardware companies. Selling nuts and bolts for 5-10 and having a front for apparel. Genius.

Oh yah.   After all of this shit hes still got the lightning bolt logo?  Hes got an market forever now with dickheads who are racist and homphobic.  He was careful to never fully appologize as to not alienate them.  Im dissapointed cause i thought he was sick when i was a kid. But i started to get a big question mark about him 20 years ago.  I remember some other pro being asked about that fallbrook ramp and them answering saying how they were all racists down there.  The peanut brown thing and how i never heard him address that.  Fuck yah Peanut Brown.
