Flip Skateboards

I'm really into Flip Skateboard's graphics, but it doesn't seem like anyone here skates them. Anyone have experience with them and how they feel?

To be fair you gotta account for the 12 year old demographic. Those do a good job at that. Their other boards aren't THAT bad, based on a brief skim through their online shop right now.

Same make as Creature and Santa Cruz.
There's a few creature fans on here.

I had a flip back in November, A David Gonzalez shaped deck. No complaints.
That emoji series everyone hates is atleast 2 years old now

I got an 8.0 tom penny P2 a while back (just cause it was 50% off and cause tom penny).

It's actually a pretty nice ride, I don't like the idea of P2 but they're so crispy and poppy! Kick and concave is pretty shallow, but the wheelbase is pretty long for an 8-inch.

I'd give flip P2 decks an 8/10

I'm using a Lance Mountain Flip 8.6 tapered shape as my third setup for doing daily tricks if it's wet outside. (See cruiser thread) I actually like it a lot. The tail is shorter than I would like but the wood quality feels fine and the shape is actually pretty fun.

P2 decks make good rain/snow setups, with normal 7ply's you can feel them take on water at the end of the day. The insert in P2's keeps them stiff.

Skating a Lance Mountain P2 right now. I live in a really humid environment and P2's/NHS boards in general seem to stay hard longer than others. And they're always on sale on skate warehouse, so win-win.

Are we all skating Lance Mountain P2s? I got the 9.0 Vato one.
Interesting shape but I stay with 8.25s so the leap feels like a drag a bit.

Also, one of the better I boards I skated was a David Gonzales possessed to skate 7.87. My only gripe with P2 is the lack of concave.
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

What about the non-P2 boards?
I'm really interested in the old Comix series on sale on Skate Warehouse.

Those are still out of nhs when they were released. I think ducky is the only person on here who I've seen ride a non p2 board though.
