This looks sick. Hopefully it’s less glitchy than THPS5

-
Can’t wait, only worry is that it doesn’t play the same As the old games and is clunky like THPS HD. Might have to throw THPS 2X in to get hyped
-
First time I've looked forward to a THPS in 15 years.
-
It's so funny how twirly tricks are always like the mic drop moment in skate media.

Too bad we have to wait till after summer but still a pleasant surprise.

Is it gonna have the exact same skaters as the originals?
-
I get why they chose 1 and 2 but would have preferred THPS3 or THUG 1/2

Yes. That will be a nice little bit of cash to bump up their bank accounts.

Yeah was just thinking that, Hopefully the chief will make in royalties to stop Zero going under

They should drop a demo early. Quarantine is turning me into a ferocious gamer.

It says you’ll get the warehouse demo if you pre-order digitally. It doesn’t give a date, but it says pre-order coming soon to the PlayStation Store. I really hope they don’t charge $60 for this, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
-
Woo! Can't wait. They better have that warehouse demo ready soon. September is too far away still.
Btw: pre order prices on Dutch retailer gamemania are 45,- for the normal version and 100,- for the collectors edition with the deck. Prices in euros, but probably the same in dollars.

Imagine a modern THUG where where instead the typical sponsorship story it's a character trying to gain an Instagram following and your homie @ericsparrow doesn't tag you in your clips.
-
visually it looks rad, stoked on this. looks like I have a good excuse to buy a new playstation now instead of digging my old one out of the basement.
-
Hope it has "Streets" (AKA: San Francisco) from THPS1, with EMB etc. That was my fave shit back in the day. Would just fs flip the Gonz with Reynolds for an hour.

Scheduling a callus on my thumbs in September. Muska, Reynolds and Mullen all day. Might have to create Kelch and regulate at EMB.

Jamie Thomas is stoked. I'm stoked for Elissa.

Pretty sure I used Rowley in THPS2
edit: darkslide everything!
-
Hopefully this is good. Pretty happy to see Vicarious Visions attached to the product. They did a great job with the GBA versions and they have a decent track record.

If these get good feedback, I'm sure they'll look into remastering the rest of the series. THUG 1 & 2 would be sick

the gameplay on this looks so trash. skate did it right with the realistic gameplay

i think you guys are trippin on nostalgia a bit. have you tried playing a thps after playing skate? it just seems so obsolete with skater xl and session on the horizon/already here. however, i was a nerd who tried to play thps like a sim, so maybe im just not the target market. but the whole thing feels lazy imo. but if you guys are stoked, then get your combos

Oh 100% I am blinded by nostalgia. I'll get these to pretend I'm 10 years old again for a weekend and probably not play it more than 1 or 2 more times after that. I know I'm falling for it, but I've definitely wasted $40.00 on way dumber things.

Just in the last 2-3 years I think I've re-played thps2 three times, thps4, thps3 and thug1 once all the way through. thps1 feels dated, but the rest are still a lot of fun for me. But yeah, it's less about the skating and more about addictive game play, which in turn is non-existent in session and skater xl at least for now.
Looks like they're trying to do it right this time, which is promising. Not really feeling the look of the game, but doesn't really matter. As long as they stay true to the engine, it should be fun

If you watch the Jack Black video with demo, the gameplay looks identical to the originals. I suppose that’s the only way those levels would work.
EA Skate played so much better and was also selling much better than the THPS games. I’m surprised EA didn’t at least do a Skate 3 remaster for the current gen consoles.

Just last week I booted up Thug2 so I could go to the Philly level and do hardflips down the love park fountain gap and it still feels good.
SKATE is awesome but THPS1&2 it's like playing Mario kart instead of Grand Turismo. high score and combo goals are just as satisfying as gap challenges and death races in SKATE.

It's just not going to be the same if musk's doesn't have shortys boards to choose from.

Every 7 years Tony comes out of hiding to reremaster his games. Cant beleive people still get stoked on this shit. How many times have 1 and 2 been remastered now. The og xbox, xbox 360 and now one? Ridiculous.
Modders put more work into Skater XL on their own time.
This looks like someone slapped a texture pack on the first two games.
Ten bucks says it still uses dpad controls.
You have the cash and namesake to make something great, buy the rights to EA skate. They clearly dont want it.
But no continue to provide this shit.
At the least with the technology we have now you cant at the least link all the maps in one big open world?
Remaster something worthwhile. I'd love to see the brooklyn banks of SPoT in 4k. I could care less about the same warehouse I've seen re textured a million times.
I'll pass.
Tony just cashing in.

I’m buying the fuck out of this and skater XL in June

From all the pros included, only like two of them still ride for their board sponsors from around the time of the original game, so this will be interesting to see.

Which is exactly what I (and apparently a lot of people) want in a remaster. THPS5 sucked, among many other reasons, because they fucked up the physics. Better models and textures (which this one seems to have) is all they need for a true remaster. Leave the rest as is.
I could care less how many times they try to remaster these maps. Even if it's just because I don't have to boot an emulator or hook an old console up instead of playing on the ps4. And sure I'd like the other games up until american wasteland to be remastered. But I doubt they'll put any money towards those way bigger games until a smaller remaster like this finally gets them the sales they think they need.
-
its just hard to understand wanting to play an arcade skate game if you skate irl.
agree 100% with krkd. its a huge slap in the face to release this now as 2 indie developers finally finish their much better competing games and they're probably gonna divert some of their success with this garbage
-
If they still have the Skate Street level from THPS2 game, I’m buying it.

ya wi pref stret
-
If they still have the Skate Street level from THPS2 game, I’m buying it.
Shit. That was probably my most played level next to school 2
-
impressive how well the original roster held up. all are pretty solidly legends like who's the least on there.. rune or bucky? still pretty sick. usually with these things in retrospect there were some nobodies
-
After playing skate I can’t see me enjoying this. I wish they made skate control options for it. Or tony hawk buy skate and make tony hawk more realistic.
-
I think it looks cool, but I really don't think the gameplay is going to be fun anymore.
-
I played the F out of these games, but I played Skate & Destroy more.
Then later , Skate, Skate 2 and Skate 3... more.
-
Cant wait for this game!
-
Inward heels dont even flip, and every double tapped trick has a "special" sound effect, i believe they fucked up
-
On the N64 version of THPS you could spin during special tricks by using the analog stick. i really hope they add some way of doing this on the remakes cuz i need to 360 backflip over the halfpipe in the first level and grind the back of the level all the way to the wall
-
I'm so hyped to shred the downtown Minneapolis level now!
-
Just popped in my old 1 and 2 into my ps1 instead. These new ones already have that lame new engine you can see it in how he lands.
-
The collectors edition comes with a falcon 1 thps real life deck, the game and all the dlc. All for $100. Just a heads up for board collectors
-
It's sad to think all they have to do is port the damn games to modern platforms and they'd make more money than what they're doing now.
The PS2 era games are as good as they're gonna get in terms of game mechanics.
They need to stop trying to reinvent the engine. It's a waste of time and money and they'd be better received if they didn't go beyond the engine in THUG 2.

This popped up in my recommended, it's kind of hilarious. Tony is supposed to react to in-game special tricks but for some reason they showed him the worst gameplay and he just seems over it.

Huh, I thought this was in lieu of an actual board sponsor. It doesn’t look like you can buy these anywhere. I also remember Pupecki in Epicly Later’d mentioning they got in some legal battles over the name, surprised it’s up and kind of running.

I played the demo today and got bored of it rather quickly and went back to session. That said, there were no goals in the demo and the final product could have more staying power. Was hoping it played more like 1-2 but it's more like THUG without walking. It definitely feels right but the whole million point combo chaining thing does nothing for me

I think theu made the right choice having it play like THUG, it has option t play with 1 or 2 controls (don't know why you would) I hope they include a sim mode tho. If they did model the game around THPS2 or 1 I think lots of people would be shocked at how much worse the game play feels

I still prefer the game play of 1-2 but I'm sure I'm the minority. By the time you get to THPS4 they started making the objects in the maps so tiny so you could combo endlessly that some of the stuff wasn't even skatable anymore.
Sim mode would be cool, neversoft tried it in proving ground and I wanna say you couldn't even tre on flat. If they include it it can't be an afterthought.

Reviews are coming in and this game sounds legit. I'm on the fence.
Even though this gameplay style is not my preferred skateboarding game, when THPS is at its best it is a great arcadey game. I may not play it alot but I do want to support the skate games that come out to show there is an audience and demand for this stuff.
Maybe I'll wait for the rumoured Switch version.
-
Played it last night for a couple of hours. It's really great, I'm having no problems with muscle memory so I'd say it's a pretty true remaster. And they've added some extra value to it that isn't annoying or unnecessary. Create a skater is pretty extensive (especially compared to skater XL). Only downside in that area is no anti hero decks...
The thing I'm most bummed about is that you don't have to do the levels with each character. If you complete the goals on Rodney then you don't have to do them on Kareem anymore. But you do still have to get the stat points with each character, weird choice. But the plethora of challenges does make up for that a little, those'll keep you busy.
Haven't tried multiplayer or create a park yet, maybe tonight.

just bought the game. can't wait to play it ;D
edit:
3/4 hours-ish into the game and what i have to say (from someone who played the shit out of pro skater 2 on pc but didn't manage to finish the first one) it plays like PS3 with a few things added from thug; for some reason it feels harder than the originals, might be 'cause i haven't played any t hawks in a while. it's a solid remake! it feels good to finally play a good tony hawk game after pro skater 5 that's for sure. i'll just write down what i didn't like about it
-menu can get VERY confusing the first time
-some of the new songs suck ass, i often find myself skipping them; also you can INSTANTLY tell that they are new songs
-every now and then player goes aaah or yeaaaaah or some dumb shit like that, there's no option to disable that; from what i've seen it was rampant in the warehouse demo, they toned it down in the final release but it's still annoying
-no blood; after bailing there's a lame glitch-like looking animation that gets your skater back on track, there's also no option to disable that
-other than clothing, not that much create-a-skater variety (such as body size, face modification and what-not) you get a set of like what 15 faces? which besides like 2 faces i found most of them to be weird looking
-it's an epic games exclusive, wish i could've gotten it on steam
-day one DLC fuck that
-multiplayer doesn't have online free skate, but from what i've read they'll fix that soon
dunno if i miss anything but if you're not on pc (or if you don't mind epic) go get it, you'll like it
-
IGN just gave this game a rating of 9. That is way higher than I even thought they'd get. I sort of want the game but know all those combo tricks you have to do will annoy me.
-
Definitely well worth it. Fun as fuck.
-
It looks like it stayed pretty faithful to the older games. I'll probably get it, but just wish it wasn't on the epic store.

I've enjoyed it, it is no Skate replacement, but its authentic to the originals. The only thing that has bugged me is that once you complete the challenges with one character it has them done for all, unlike the originals. It's well made, and I haven't noticed any really stupid glitches or anything. It plays like a much smoother version of 1 and 2.
-
Played yesterday for a while and it's exactly what I was looking, classic gameplay with updated graphics.
In the Chicago skatepark there's a giant sign with Grosso forever, nice touch.
Hopefully a remake of the 3+4 and U1+U2

Same, I'll probably hold out a year until it's hopefully on Steam. I might pick it up on Xbox if it goes on sale.

That was my only gripe too, but I just found out that under ranked you have a speed run mode. Here you have to do all challenges on a map in one session. You could do that with all other skaters and it would kinda be the same thing.
-
As someone who spent the majority, if not all, my time on free skate and didn’t care much for challenges what do y’all recommend?
-
Just go through the career mode on both games, it's pretty simple and fun (assuming that part of the game is the same as the originals too I haven't played this version yet)
-
Piece of shit game doesn’t have a single DOA deck to pick from. Returning.
-
Might buy this later today. Not sure if I should get ps4 or Xbox version. Only played it on ps back in the day but I prefer Xbox overall

Yeah what the fuck is with not being able to start over on a new skater from scratch?
I think I crossed the rubicon with being the biggest nerd in history when I got genuinely excited that they had f4 conical fulls with the standard blue graphic.
Basically just trying to get all the FA and Hockey decks now. It’s funny how all the FA decks conveniently have a little slide mark that just happens to be directly over the word “Fucking”.
-
What deck brands do they have in this?
-
The ranked single sessions by itself is worth the money.
-
Just got the game and played during my lunch. Coming from Skate 3 this is tough.
-
I’m kind of interested in getting this but there was always a weird break between playing this game to win or advance in the game vs playing to have fun and relax. Doing the latter wasn’t particularly engaging (e.g. flipping stairs, busting simple airs) which is where Skate excelled.
Playing to win THPS got less fun the better you got. You can rack up the most insane scores easily by fastplant/no-comply>flip>grab>spin>repeat using different cardinal direction.
-

Been playing as Tyshawn and been doing nollie flip (shifties!) over everything just to make myself laugh
-
I really hope this comes out for Switch. I loved having the OG THPS2 on my iPhone, but then it vanished.
-
There's rumors it is. I think a leaked controller layout or something. Not sure if that was legit.
But if it follows suit with the Crash and Spyro remakes, then i would expect it to come out in about a year.
I just got the game fr PS4. The soundtrack is really nostalgic. It's a really impressive remaster. They modernized the gameplay but still made it feel true to the best games in the franchise. Wish they cared more about the animations. I feel like THPS3 has better skate and trick animations.
That being said, this style of gameplay is outdated for me. Churning out high scores and big combos is not very satisfying or memorable. Much more rewarding to nail a line in the sim skate games like skate or skater xl. I'm having fun playing through the challenges and scavenger hunt stuff. But I probably won't play it too much after that.
-
I'm pretty terrible at Skater XL (well... fakie/ switch modes mostly. Oh and I am horrible at any grinds/ slides too!) But this game is feeding my skate game void for the moment. Although I will say I wish sometimes my dude would slow down a bit more as I approach things. Finally figured out to enter my created skaters, as opposed to deleting them and starting over. Should have left the Gonz Gap at EMB though, I mean, why not?
100% glad they let you have 4 created skaters, that was one of my fave things of Skate 3. Currently have myself, Guy Mariano, Lucas Puig and Dennis Busenitz.
Sad note: The first time I played the original THPS was with my friends Eric and Chris, who both have died in the last 3 years. The feeling of wanting to tell my friends about this, but they aren't here, is shitty
-
Forgive my ignorance as I don't play many video games besides Super Mario Bros 3 and Street Fighter 2 but...question:
If a particular lower-level company's deck can be accessed and rode on only in a particular Map in the new THPS 1+2 -- like, not a board sponsor of any of the riders, etc. -- does that mean that said company worked their way into that Map by having Activision actually put that in the game?
Or is that possible for normal users -- perhaps say the owner of a lower level nobody board company -- to download an image into some kind of database on their own and have ppl ride it?
I guess I'm trying to figure out if such a possibility would have to be sanctioned and implemented by Activision...
Any input would help, thx

Or is that possible for normal users -- perhaps say the owner of a lower level nobody board company -- to download an image into some kind of database on their own and have ppl ride it?
I guess I'm trying to figure out if such a possibility would have to be sanctioned and implemented by Activision...
Any input would help, thx
yeah man just print out your board graphics and mail them to acivision and include a scanned photo of your arse and they should put it in the game for everyone to access

No, I'm not looking to get my company in the game.
I want to know if a company already "in the game" was put there by Activision or if it's possible it put itself there, so to speak....

Sorry, but I am not sure how it works.
However, I would love to see a pair of the Ed Lawndale pro shoes added to the game. It's strange they aren't in the game to begin with but I'm assuming the developers and Mr. Hawk himself have not heard that they are "The Cocaine of Sneaks 🔥", or perhaps they have heard this praise but were worried it would result in their game receiving an AO rating.
Perhaps someone can start a petition or "DM them like a man on Insta" as the kind folks of Slap Massage Boards like to say.
-
^^^^"It's strange they aren't in the game to begin with" lol that's funny

Ed still lookin for dirt on Create skateboards confirmed.
Was playing as Mullen and my outfit switched mid air, signal started cutting out and now my PS4 shows nothing but a black screen. Birdman broke my PS4 confirmed.

How the fuck would a company just put themselves in the game? Like if they computer hack their way in there?

I dunno. Like I said, I only got a Super Trio Plus...but my cousin is big into Fortnite and he's on some kinda network where he plays with people all over and can personalize his character. Not sure if THPS1+2 has a similar set up...
-
Played it last night for a couple of hours.
Finally found an anti hero deck. Game is a 10 now.
Got nearly all the trophies done. Only need that hard get there in school 2, which is kicking my ass. After that a long grind (ha-ha) to level 100.
Multiplayer is pretty dope, but the skill-gap is pretty big. Maybe that get's better if I play a lot more ranked. Can't wait for the online freeskate option they're going to add.
Tried create a park too, works pretty simple. Could use some more different textures for floors/walls etc to better recreate real life spots.
-
Finally unlocked the levels. Now I'll go back and try to get all the trophies and cash. I was surprised how much I remembered on THPS2 yet did not remember on THPS1. I didn't remember the downtown MN level at all. Anyway, game is pretty fun, definitely reminds me of old times
-
Bought it this afternoon. They've done really well staying true to the originals while making it new and exiting. Seems a little bit harder though? Seems way easier to fall off than I remember. Can't wait to see all the other levels, I'm staying true and working though 1 then 2 from the beginning.
-
I said I wasn’t going to buy it.. I bought it day one and fucking loved it. Unlocked the alien and I’m working on all the hard to get there challenges
-
Updated my created lads to: self, Tim O'Connor, Olson & Smolik. Re-living my shit from that time
-
I just want to say the “Kicker 2 Railspan” gap on the final level can suck the fattest part of my cock.
-
Update: I suck at the Downhill level just as bad as I did the first time. F that level
-
Played it for a good few hours and there's something odd about the gameplay that I don't like. It seems kind of fast and chaotic that makes it way easier to slam and way harder to be accurate with where you're aiming than I remember. Maybe it's because I never really played the games past the PS1, is it closer to the later games in terms of how it handles? Still fun though and I think part of it was maybe just because my player had shit stats that I wasn't used to. Why did they get rid of the gonz gap though? Odd thing to do. Also you can't do front shoves?
PS how tf do you get into the gym in school II? I thought you just had to grind that double kink rail

I haven't played the game but I saw a post from Create on the subject, so it looks like I have to reach out to Activision as well. Should be easy to get contact info for the responsible parties though and the family-friendly companies have been pretty good about responding.

Right, right, flip trick button (square on ps4, x on xbox controllers) to front shove.
Grind the kink rail on the right side before the school bell rings to open the gym.

I thought it was during the bell.

Thanks Camel. Seems to be before the bell.
Fucking unlocked Skate Heaven after thinking the cunts had left it out of the game. Definitely enjoying it more now I'm getting the hang of it. Anyone made a custom park yet? Hopefully they do an update with a few more backdrops, custom park sizes etc

I know this isn’t a new complaint, but damn it’s annoying how spots like Hubba or the San Dieguito 10 are so hard to skate with any substance. Also, is the Love Gap a lot harder this time around?
-
My 180 nosegrinds on Hubba sure don't feel like Olson. And I am yet to do the Love Gap.
-
Yeah Love gap seems near impossible.
Just hit the top 30 for one of the speed runs, which I'm pretty stoked on since I haven't really played video games since I was about 12

It def used to be the perfect replicable size where you could make about only the tricks that were accomplished in real life. I must have bonelessed into it to get it bc I have the All Gaps trophy
-
Yeah, the love gap is glitchy. Must have landed it 10 times before it popped once. Same with the kicker 2 railspan in Skate Heaven.

Yeah that was annoying especially when you get the gap connecting the rail to the benches.
Also, getting into that goddam volcano was wayyy too hard

I just got this game for PS4. It’s so fucking hard to play from Skater XL to this in regards to controls.

Was gapping Lombard St ever a possibility in the first one or was that in #3

A few days down playing this and here’s my feedback...
-It’s fun for the challenges, in regards to being a game with a tons of accomplishments/goals.
-It is stupid annoying that they don’t have a push button like they did in previous ones. Makes it that much less fun to even attempt to play it as a realistic skateboarding game.
-In regard to physics/ being anywhere near fun to play as a couch-skater, this game sucks for that. I have no clue how anyone can go from skater XL to this and even think about “free skating” for fun.
-
Didn’t they used to have a mode where it’s more realistic? I think it was called sim mode. I beat the game and when I went back to play just skating it’s way too fast, high, unrealistic. I end up just skating with other characters trying to unlock boards and get the stats cause you can’t realistically just skate around like you can in skate and skater xl. I used to when I was younger w thps but maybe that was just the only option back then. Like someone else said you just play it like a game and not like skating
Also, I couldn’t find the comment, but someone was bummed about no anti hero boards. I figured out yesterday you can unlock an olive green eagle board and I think one other AH board w VOV’s challenges

They had a sim mode in Tony Hawk's Proving Ground but it was pretty terrible (you couldn't tre on flat). Best bet to skate anything close to realistic is to go and drop your stats back down.

Good call I didn’t know you could take the stats off. I’m almost positive there was a sim mode cheat in the older games but I also can’t remember what I ate for dinner last night so take that as you will
-
There was a cheat called sim mode in thps2 yeah, it worked alright but it stopped you from doing some flat ground tricks
-
Iirc they do have setting for 'realistic' stats somewhere in the game options or game mods menu.

I was pondering building 2 places in this but I need pics of one.
I wanted to build the old Powell skate zone. I think I have enough pics to try and lay this one out.
But the other was McGill's old skate park. Anyone know where I can find a decent overview of that one?
-
The most realistic setting is in Game Mods, change it to expert, and turn your character into the biggest size possible.
Also with the new update they changed smith grinds to monty grinds.
Anyone else come across the FA/Hockey team photo in Philadelphia? I thought that was a cool little easter egg.

Sometimes I forget that I even bought this game, I was obsessed with THUG Pro but for some reason this game hasn't kept my attention despite being satisfied with it's outcome.
I still have it installed on my PC but never play.
-
i've just been pulling high scores in single session. my highest is 2.1 mil. i beat the tours in like 2 hours lol. not much else to really do, the original game was more about high scores.

I dont wanna call bs Smiths a monty grind. I don't care who invented it.

So any news if the rumors were true and it is coming to Nintendo switch? I´d love to walk down nostalgia lane but I sure as hell won´t buy a playstation for it.

I am absolutely in love with this game, played it a lot in the last two weeks and only need to get to level 100 for 100% completion.
Some of that songs are not really my cup of tea. But at least Bad Religion and Suicidal Tendencies.
I have the standard version and you can't complete the 24 skater career challenge since Ripper is only available in the deluxe version or something.
Online Multiplayer is fun but laggy sometimes.
Only one Anti Hero Deck.
There is a cool Dill Graffiti in the Downhill level.
I've never heard of Aori before and I thought I would be following the scene.
Cab's outfits have a lot of swag. ^^
Feeling like a 12 year old again, which is great.

I just heard about this today, but this is news to me despite being a few weeks announced. Apparently Vicarious Visions the developers who made THPS 1+2 have been merged with Blizzard. So, that probably means we'll not be getting any more content for this game or any sequels.
It's odd because I thought this and their other remakes have sold well, so why would Activision do this to them? What a shame. Hopefully it's not the actual scenario and they can still work on their own projects sometime in the near future.

I’m hyped to get this on Switch. My daughters/wife never let me use the TV. I miss THPS2 on my iPhone. I could 100% each level first try.

I'd play a drinking game by myself with the original THPS. 100 percent every level in one try, drink a beer in between each level. I always got stuck on San Francisco, I always thought it was impossible until i spoiled it by searching youtube for a speedrun. I still like pulling it out and beating it every year or two.
-
Just downloaded this on Switch last night. SO HYPED! The graphics are a bit dodgy as would be expected for a Switch port, but the controls are good and it's a lot of fun to play docked and handheld. I haven't played the levels of THPS1 since 00', but I still have them all memorized.
Funny side note, each playable character's profile has regular/goofy, street/vert, and now there's a "mongo push" in the profile. Every single character is "never mongo" besides Koston. They made an entire category just to capture Koston's switch mongo, hahaha

super late to it but bumpin cuz finally got around to playing the remaster version on switch cuz it was onsale for $20.
the nostalgia factor ofc got me but also I feel like they updated the characters movements(flip tricks, grinds) because they feel way less robotic which makes the playability much better. I also haven't played any of the skate games in the last 10 years so this is filling that void a bit
$20 not wasted

Any word on if there's going to be a sequel? (3+4 remake?)

I believe Activision turned the studio behind it into a Blizzard or COD support studio. Maybe Microsoft revives it, but that might also mean it will be PC/Xbox only (and as a PS5/Switch user I'd be bummed, but not bummed enough to buy a Series X or build a gaming PC).
-
Bought it last month on sale and finally played it. I was 10 when THPS 1 came out and I was hooked as a kid since in coincided with me starting to skate. the nostalgia factor really hits ! Liked the remake, pleasant surprise.
Also they used the trick / combo system from following titles iirc (revert etc). Level design seems a bit clunky at times especially in THPS1 but this is what we got back in the day.
I missed a few songs from the originals but the recent one they added are OK. I get the licensing problems here.
I played with the D-pad, felt easier than the joystick. I did what I did when I was younger : doing « realistic » tricks haha.
(Thing that amazed me : my brain remembered the songs, spots, level design, mechanics or objectives for the most part. I mean it was 20+ years ago. And it’s the same with the old games I replayed recently like Super Mario World, Killer Instinct, Tekkens, Crash Bandicoots, Gran Turismo, old GTAs, THPS, SSX games… my brain has a quantity of these things printed it’s so strange.
I was a shy / secluded kid, since my mom passed away when I was 7 and my siblings way older, I got spoiled in terms of skate gear, comics, records and video games, I guess it was my world.)
