from the looks of this, it seems like Gino is actually skateboarding. Leaning into my optimism while looking forwards to more footage.

great skating, pretty solid edit, atrocious footwear

Have you tried any of the shoes? Guarantee you wouldn’t be making this statement after skating a pair of Gel Vickkas. Hands down the best shoe I’ve skated in the last decade.

I’ll co-sign this. Amazing shoe. Just waiting for one of my locals to get them in stock before I get another pair because those $20 shipping fees from the shops they’re available at fuckin hurt

In his Out There he mentioned that he spent a long time battling alcoholism and that he's been sober for a couple years now. Between that, the birth of his child, and the semi regular clips we're getting, it seems like he has things together now and I couldn't be happier for him.

Shay's ender was fucked he wasn't on my radar before, but he's been killing it in these Asics edits. Emile too I don't get why he isn't pro yet. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I also like Jacob Harris's creative direction.

Excellent skating. Gino's back tail. Shay's quick feet ledge line. Akwasi's everything.

The ender was switch, which makes it slightly (only slightly) more comprehensible to me. Still waiting for the regular fs 360 nose manny, seems impossible.

I think it is a fairly common Japanese family name, but is Luca Hirata the child of Frank Hirata by any chance? Style and trick selection are somewhat similar. Frank Hirata was one of my favourites growing up.

Couldnt help thinking "whys this feel like im watching atlantic drift?"

I know some of you felt the editing was overdone with the extra stuff, but imo its just what these kinds of brands need for some personality

another dope edit from J.Harris

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

can someone make sure shay doesn't stay on plan b and actually gets hooked up by a board brand he can flourish?

They def learned from Nike…. market directly at the “core” audiences (Gino, Brent, sci fi, polar, Frog, Jacob Harris directed) and don’t even THINK about a big street league name…

….for a few more years.  Not complaining tho. It was a cool edit and the shoes look cool. I could watch Akwasi skate forever

I really don't like Emile skating but I'm glad there's space for a wildcard like him in the skateboarding landscape.

Wow. I would be upset if I was part of this team, put time and effort into getting tricks, then the edit ends up with this awful, dragged out, and annoying song. Maybe pick two or three different tracks with different genres of music to encompass the variety of styles seen throughout the video?

Shay taking the frontside noseslide, the most Canadian of all tricks, to brand new heights.

Tyler surrey did fs 360 nose manual in a part from the last year or two I’m fairly positive.

Really dug this. ASICS has assembled a really solid team.

I thought Shay was going to be a berrics/instagram kook but he’s absolutely not that

That's because it's the same guy who built Nike SB, Kaspar van Lierop.

first vid was good because of the fact that Jacob Harris edited it
this one felt like Jacob Harris first bad soup

At first the edit felt a bit too much but the second time it made more sense to me. Not as memorable as the first video but really good too. Shay is damn talented and Emile is a wild one.

Akwasi and Shay skating made it watchable. Big nah on the edit overall though. Would love to see Jacob take his skill and talent, and do something fully different when he’s working with a brand, instead of his same shit for every one. He’s clearly a very good film maker, just needs some new frameworks or guidelines to operate within, in my opinion.

I mean, kind of, but Shay was literally in Street League as recently as last year…

I had a pair of the first batch and they were acceptably middle of the road, then got the dark blue Gino ones and they were terrible. Somehow fell apart faster than the first batch despite the fact that I have the same basic weekly skate routine.

I like how diverse their team is in terms of styles and trick selection. They need to make chase walker the head of all of their video projects from now on though.
