backstory: i'm going to NYU for grad school in the fall, getting my masters in fine arts in fiction writing.  i'm on the listserv and everything, people are emailing me, trying to meet everyone that will be in the workshops in the fall--it's like 14 of us in the program this year.  and this person is going to be in my class.
