when the second stimulus check comes, what will you do with it? are you making a shopping list or will you save it? im going to buy tires for my car, differential oil, possibly cv axles or wheel bearings(depending on what is fucked up with my car), and save the rest to get some tattoos removed. i also hope to NOT buy any alcohol with it.

In Brazil we also got something like that and I used the first payment to buy two new decks(one for me and my friend), wheels and bearings. When I'm able to withdraw the rest I'll probably spend a bit in booze and weed, but mostly save it for more important stuff later on.

Definitely gonna save it, because I am half-blind and ophthalmology is expensive as fuck - and of course health care costs your limbs in this country.
I just hate the fact that the fascist state is sacrificing people to the machine. Forced to work in a death-trap, lest the turtle neck millionaire lawmakers call you a 'lazy worker' and ban your stimulus. That's manipulation of the public, to be sure.
Struggling to get minimum welfare (and / or financial security) during a pandemic really serves to point out the fact that basic comfort levels are a human right anyway. I hate to be a downer, but that shit has me stressed.

I didn't know what to do when the last checked dropped because I'm still working at a job that pays me around 95k. I didn't need it so I eventually donated the check amount to Campaign Zero.
If another check comes this time around I'm going to pre-order a PS5 when it's available.

donated half of the first check to a couple of different causes and added the other half to savings. IF there is another, an Aimpoint Micro T-2 red dot sight, for my Arsenal SAM 7 SF. i changed the gas tube on my Arsenal to a Ultimak M1-B Optics Mount, which is awesome, but heats up pretty bad, and the Aimpoint red dots are as indestructible as they are incredible, so perhaps justifies the cost:

I mean, me too. But right now my bigger concern is making sure that payroll tax deferral doesn't go through. When the government comes calling for that money back next year it will be far worse.

One can argue that blowing it all on alcohol is responsible. Stimulus checks are for spending and in turn stimulates the economy. It is your duty as an American to support your economy. Booze up!

Never got it and I don't know why. I made a decent amount in 2019 I guess but I didn't think it was enough to push me out of the bracket. I am kind of against almost every single American getting a check as there's a lot of people (like myself) who didn't need a stimulus and others who needed much more than $1200.

I'm not American I guess. I didn't get anything. I tried to find out if it was stolen but hit a dead end time and time again.
All my fellow section 8ers did nothing and boom they had 1200 bucks in the bank.
I waited and waited and called and called with out help of my payee I failed.
Im not even allowed make a deposit with out my payee.
I needed that money to restart my life.

I come on here to read sometimes, haven’t posted before but didn’t want anyone to miss out on what is due to them. Sounds like some people in the US haven’t gotten their stimulus payment and are unsure why.
Some possible reasons as I understand them:
- If you file taxes as a single person and made over $75k in 2019, this makes you not eligible for the stimulus payment.
- Anyone who made below that amount is eligible unless they are a dependent on someone else’s tax return; if this is the case, they/whoever claims them as a dependent might still be eligible for a smaller amount of stimulus money, but they will want to check with the IRS or find more info about dependents online as I don’t know the details enough to speak on this.
- If you didn’t file your 2019 taxes until recently, or if you still haven’t filed your 2019 taxes and they know you need to file (W-2 statements under your name by your job showing income within the threshold), your payment would be held up.
- If you didn’t need to file a tax return for 2019 because you earned no income or earned less than $12,200, you need to use this page to get your payment:

But don’t delay if you haven’t done so yet: as you can see on the page, if you don’t do it soon, you won’t be able to get the money.
