So, Chris Haslam's twin leaves ETN...
So Basically he is leaving because tehy're not wanting to do the shows he wants to do and he's feeling to much pressure from the subscribers...
In my opinion he wants to bail out before the whole thing goes to pieces... (what we all know will happen)

SUMMARY:
I watched the first 15 min or so trying to gather the full reasoning behind his departure. Basically what I gather is that ETN is a “network” like Netflix of whatever, Erik Bragg is the creative director who creates all the shows. ETN hired a “network guy” to help with their business and Erik didn’t mesh too well with him. Bragg was used to getting a thumbs up on all his content proposals and when the new “Network guy” came in Bragg’s ideas were met with resistance.
This whole departure seems pretty recent and the wounds seem fresh. His newest episode of “Get Lost” has yet to air (Sept 27th). Bragg speaks Like he hopes for the best for ETN but I’m catching a general vibe that he is sending a message subscribers that now it’s ok to abandon ship. I guess he ran into the 9 club guys recently and they were down to get the fresh scoop on the departure.

Bragg is one of the least likeable guys I can think of in the current skate landscape. That Illegal Civ kid Mikey Alfred (sp?) is another one. Both cocky and haven't really contributed anything worthwhile IMO.
Compare them to someone like Rick McCrank - super successful on and off the board (now has two shows on actual television) and so humble.

Dude acts like people hated ETN because you had to pay for it. No it's because there was no content and they tried making you subscribe to watch Tampa. I think it was the Tampa shit that really got them flak though because it's in early spring when a lot of people in the north still "can't" skate but are itching too.

Sounds like he was using it as a platform to take all expenses paid trips around the world, and do half thought out projects to feed into his self proclaimed crazy and creative ego.

Not really a fan of this guy considering her gave us a Plan B video with no PJ footage. However, he did also make Krooked 3-D which I personally enjoy even with the gimmicky 3D aspect.
He should just try and write for the WWE so he can use his crazy creativity to come up with all the crazy creative gimmicky storylines and characters his heart desires.

For real. The gall he had in his first appearance that everyone just "chill out and pay him" demonstrates perfectly why I hate listening to skateboarders talk business.
For those who didn't listen, he summarized it as they didn't see eye to eye on creative decisions and he got more resistance to his ideas. What this means in a practical sense is that he couldn't handle doing work with people who weren't a cast of "yes men" letting him do whatever he wants. He also is under the assumption that people subscribed to ETN because of him.

I've never seen any of the ETN stuff, but hilarious he sounds so shocked that producing TV content is so much work. Like- wow, you have to edit! So many graphics you have to update to show scores! Not to mention that there's endless, more tempting stuff to watch out in the universe for free than a skateboarding themed game show of some kind. People wouldn't be watching this stuff even if it was free.

Pat Duffy put out more footage in that video than PJ did for the decade prior.
DWay saved his footage for a "DC" project that still hasn't come out.
If they had made it a 15 minute promo with just Torey and Joslin it probably would've been remembered more.

i agree. i liked the format where they would bring a recent guest of the regular show back for lighter chit chat on the experience. when its just the same dudes going over the week's video parts it can get old. Steezus is hit or miss, sometimes his input is a good reality check for these guys, but he also has the tendency to speak way too authoritatively about subjective shit
