Jawns and Candy Bars are the same material I think, which is the main thing. A really consistent, slippery plastic, like a cutting board. So once you’re on, it’s a smoother slide. I’ve used bones for the last bunch of years but they’re a harder plastic and slide really janky for me, plus they get sharp edges and it’s a bummer they’re a square shape these days. I’ve still got a set from the 80s and they feel more like the Candy Bar material. Sometimes they stick like glue, you just never know. Pigs were terrible For all the reasons above.
The Candy Bar shape is nice too, but I grew up loving them so it’s just preference. Round on the outside and lipped inside, so your hand goes over them nicely and they don’t get sharp. Plus I get a little nostalgic vibe as theyre Schmitt IIs which were THE rails.
