Its not how bad the other bushings are, its how amazing the Bones are. The way they flick back and re-centre your board makes skating feel so much better. Dropping back in at an angle and straightening out before you hit the flat, landing off ledges or just carving threw leaves down the street. Shit feels good.
Like I said, I had one bad session and blamed it on something. The Indy bushings weren't bad, they just didnt feel anywhere near as good as the Bones.
And I skate with both washers and the nut flush with the kingpin. First time I skated them I only used the top washer but I think I prefer them with both on.
