I've never had Bose headphones, nor have I really had expensive ones, but I've repaired cheap ones just by splicing the wires and adding a lot of electrical tape.

Well holy shit, I just looked them up online. When you said super expensive, I thought you meant like $30, tops. You could try to trim away the plastic covering to expose the wire, but even if you do fix it, she's going to know, so you might wanna try to cut your losses (no pun intended) and tell her what happened.

the first thing i did after i realized it was ruined was put them in my dresser and throw socks over them. i'm afraid to even look at them again. but luckily i looked them up and they're one of the more inexpensive ones. $140. fuck i'm just going to postpone giving them back for enough time to save up for them. i know i can just be honest with her but i feel super bad, and i know i'm going to eventually buy them for her again because i just have to, but i think the best bet (if i can pull it off) is replacing them without her knowing.

Dude, I'm amazed that you were cutting your hair with headphones on! You might think of contacting Bose and letting them know your situtaion, maybe they can repair them, or recommend a place nearby where you live that can. I know this sounds weird, but there are actually places around where I live that are licensed by Phillips to fix my electric toothbrush!!

And, I would tell your girl, that way, when you get them fixed, you will get a BJ to fix all the hard work you went through to get them fixed, or something. But, she'll probably appreciate you honesty, either way. If not, you can tell her some kook from SLAP gave you bad advice...

i know dude, i can't believe it either. but it wasn't like i was really going to start going off on my hair or anything it was just me snipping off a piece in the back that i had a hold of, and that fucking wire happened to be in the way. i'm going to look up some places to fix it and all, thanks for the advice but i'm not going to tell her, i think i can get away with this.
