I have been skating the new Heroin Mutant 10' board and I have to say its may favourite shape of all time.
Just reordered 4 of them.
[close]

Just grabbed one of those. I got some 215s and have been looking for a board for them, and had been looking for the Mutant everywhere and it was sold out. Boom, yesterday, Fos says he has limited restock at the factory. Fate was on my side! Skategods care about 215s!

Are they fully green dipped?

They are, with a pink heroin logo on the top

How the heck do you guys ride Ace 66s with big wheels, no risers and no wheelbite?

I have 66s with indy hard black bushings, indy washers, 1/4” risers, and 55mm OJ Mini Juice, and wheelbite so bad still.

55mm OJ Mini Juice are pretty damn wide and with a hard edge. That could be it.

Ace 55 no risers and 55mm classic formula OG classics and haven't wheel bite much at all. Just threw a 1/8" riser for more pop angle after trying a deck with steep kicks/no riser. so trying a few diff things with mine.

People can say what they want about JT, but if continues to keep this shape going for me he's alright in my book. This is my 3rd one but definitely not my last.

considering setting up a cruiser with the baker 9.25 creation deck. does anyone know if it would work with 159 indys and oj 55mm juices with minimal hot rodding?

Always wonder what that shape would feel like. What's the wheelbase? That graphic and blue stain are beautiful

Heard so much about the Dane 1 that I had to try one myself. Ended up piecing it together with the new Indy mids, with soft conical bushings, 53mm Spits and some NOS NMBs.

The mids definitely have weight on em, but not to where I blame my set up if I suck. The height is perfect, turns like they should, could of dealt without the shield on the plate but it’ll come off in time.

The NMBs I found on eBay, and for 13 bucks they’re as good as Reds. Might be better with time but damn their smooth.

The tail is hella square but so far I’m diggin’ it.

That is a good looking setup, first I've seen of the (I'm assuming) 159 mids.

Yeah kit looks nice. Germans for $13! (Probably not germans, showing my age maybe, nmbs where the shit, probably still are. Skateboard bearing confound me....I just spun the wheels on my kids board and the spitfire cheap shots are faster than any of my assorted set ups that have reds, swiss etc)

Went through a spare parts box and came across a single NMB from Thailand. Spun it and it was better than any bearing I have currently set up.

Did some research and Thailand has great bearing factories. Dude on eBay sent em quick and it’s a nice change to not look at reds.

Skeptical because it’s NOS, not sure how long that sat and when I gave em a spin they were smooth but didn’t keep. Once set up they’re better than decent.

put in softer Indy 88a conical bushings with the new mids? How’s that going? Stock Indy feels softer than 90a to me but I’m 200lbs

The rumor is that Rockin Rons bearings are just NMBs and if I remember correctly he may have even said they were sourced from Thailand. One way or the other, they're still being made so maybe you got a hook up. I have a set of Rockin Rons and think they're just great.

EDIT: I went digging and found this thread:
https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=100753.0

Except they're made in Thailand.

They are re-packaged NMBs. They've always been one of the better bearing manufacturers and far better than generic Chinese bearings. I've seen some NMBs sold on eBay or sketchy online stores, but I don't think anyone else imports them (and haven't seen them in stores for 20 years). Back in the day, German (GMN) bearings were between NMB and Bones on the hierarchy, but I haven't seen those for a long time either. I think Z (Z-roller) bought exclusive distribution rights to GMN during the late 80s and sold a version soaked in motor oil.

Beautiful! I was eyeing that shape, but thought my 159s would be to short. How do you like em on it? I am inspired
