Been liking the Vans Anaheim collection - saw on eBay they made regular black Sk8-hi's, but they were only released in Europe. Hopefully they come stateside soon.

Sure - the regular ones are always around. This is the Anaheim Collection, which is basically the regular shit with the nicer footbed (ultracush i think) and they seem to be made better with Suede and I like the glossy foxing tape.

I like the idea of the Vans pros Line, but the fit on those SUCK and just don't feel like a regular vulc - the Anaheim collection is kind of like a happy medium between the regular core stuff and the pro line. I LOVE when vans makes regular shit, but just ups the quality and details a little. I got the checkerboard old skools from the Anaheim collection and they are awesome. This is typically skater OCD bullshit in my case - you know how it goes.

Does anyone know if Vans changed their whole classic line or something? I have a pair of old skools from about 5 years ago and it's different than a pair I got about a year ago. Sole is about 1/8" higher and has cotton lining in the toe. The older model just feels way better overall and the newer one feels really cheap. Did they just cheap out on all the classics now that they have the pro line?

I think it's pot luck as to which factory they're made. Vans has had such a surge in popularity over the past years and they don't own all the factories the shoes are made so quality control can slip.

i think it's just the anaheims not the regular classics that have that toe bumper. it's a vintage style separate line they do.
