The MJ Selects in black and white look good (going after some of that Adidas money. Again.)
And the Belmonts and Coda's could be okay.

i dont see where the complaining is coming from? i dont wear their shoes but they all look pretty good and have tons of options. i would have no problem picking out at least 8 pairs for the shelf.

This is really a bad line up. Just kind of boring. Actually I can't wait for the Telfords from the color your Lakai think. Other then that, I like the black Koston 1's and that is it. I'll be saving some money off these.....

weird, I thought everyone here would be jumping on those black/white manchester selects. I'm personally stoked on Lakai finally using more basic colorways again and realizing that Black is a good thing. They'll be getting my money this season.

Holiday line is always smaller and mellower than any other season so don't judge em too harshly.
The staple is in the spring line up.

Is it just me or does the Commerce looks a lot like the Soca/Telford Low? The Targa looks Soca-ish too except with that old Getz/Staple foam sole thing. Monarch 2 is gross and belongs in the DVS lineup or something.
Liking the less crazy colored Coda Highs and the yellow and black Manchester Selects. Would have liked to see less leather and more suede shoes though.

Ahahah actually I think this is one of their best line ups in a long time. So unless Ian loses his cool again, there probably won't be a post. Obviously (as stated) shoes like the Monarch and the Primo should be left to DVS, but overall there is way less crappy all over prints and stuff like that. They're still blowing it on the Koston 1 though. Black suede, gum sole, no print. Figure it out! I also am super stoked on the black/white Manch selects. Also the yellow ones aren't bad. Bummed I bought the black Manch Selects with grey flare. I wouldn't have if I knew white/black were coming out.
As for other comments:
Black with white sole Koston - Coming out the same season as the Staple. It has a print on the top back heel piece, but pants will probably cover it up.
Staple - Not coming out until I think February.

It's all about the countries way behind the times. My buddy teaches English in Korea and he said old shoes are so easy to find. He's found and skated in Sal 23s. (Obviously the re-make from 2002-3, but who cares?!) Anyway, he said Manchesters are not that hard to find there. Not bad price either. These cost me 90 bucks a piece including express shipping.

I think that Mercer shoe could look good in a solid colour with contrast toe, sort of like the old SLB 97s. Or some old school tennis shit, white leather, grey suede toe, kelly green accents.

Seriously, just look at it, every panel is exactly the same except for the Munition has pillowing in the middle, and two breath holes on the side. You can't see the back, but even the very back heel piece where the logo goes is exactly the same.
That's one thing I've always been bummed about Lakai, I know they are both through Podium, but why release some shoes that are literally exactly the same?

People are lazy in many different kinds of work. I blame TV and the drug culture.

Well yeah, I mean you can't really call out board shapes for being the same, that's way different. And even a company like Sole Tech, you will see similar shoes but not EXACTLY the same. Like those two above, that's just crazy.

I kinda like the brown/gum Koston. And I'm glad that they've started to realise that simple, solid colors are the way to go.

I actually really like them.. the red on the inside of the tongues is a little so-so.. but it's hardly noticeable when you wear them. Regarding the shoe itself, I wish they hadn't changed it so much from the original K1's. But they're OK!
Btw, It's not that easy to see in that pic, but the 'Koston' tag on the side is upside down.. weird.

Looks like the two 'new' Telford colorways were part of a few which were Japan only for a while.
Those Kostons aren't too bad but the white midsole might have looked better in black. Did they come with red laces or a matching maroon velour tracksuit?
Considering Lakai and most skate shoes are made in Korea I wouldn't doubt there being a lot of stuff especially odd colorways being available there.

What I dont get is why they only come out with like 2 color ways for like half there shoes and then for some models they only come out wit new color ways like every other season. Also they always scrap there best shoe like the manchester, koston one and why would they ever make a manchester 2 with a toe cap and then make the jericho wich is a sick shoe but the same thing as the manchester but then in the next catalog only come out with one new colorway in the jericho and only have it as a limited color way. I really dont get lakai sometimes but at least they have 2-3 colorways that I like but they have way to many selects over half the shoes are selects and only selects which is good if you like vulc shoes but i tend to like cup soles better so it sucks..pretty much im only liken the koston (es ones) and the comerce and the one jericho color way...and what happend to the staple remakes? o ya and they dont even have manchester 2s what up with that?
