Beagles probably finishing up “Shrimp Blunt” Shake Junts new video. Not sure what the Berrics is doing. Berra seems like he’s losing it even more than we thought possible. Why post that rambling rant video to not even follow up with any new matches. I saw a suggested video from them today it was something like “David Gonzales worst slams” so maybe they’ve been working hard on that.

Think it’s safe to say this tournament has been wrapped up. A month with no games. What a dumbass for trying to coordinate such a massive tournament with Covid still running wild

So many failures it ended up being more engaging than it probably would have been if it had run smoothly.

My favorite part was Ribiero making it clear he could smoke whoever it was he was playing and then throwing the game so he wouldn’t have to come back.

I feel like batb was a special way to watch pros just having fun skating flat, which was kind of new and interesting before ig changed the way pros released clips.
Seeing the way Layton or someone like Arto Saari pops tricks a foot and a half high was new to me at least. And finding out MJ could fuck up a 360 flip was exciting too.
I don’t know what would even make batb interesting again. The idea that getting a glimpse of a (often) non contest oriented pro playing a game of skate had a certain lack of pageantry and spectacle, like it was a moment captured and not heavily staged or particularly professional , and I don’t think things are moving back that way at the Berrics.

you kind of hit on what they would need to do;  tighten up and dial down.  go back to a very limited number of interesting A and B tier skaters, get rid of all the fluff, and get back to basics. limit the season time so the time of year feels special. 

if they want to give joes and influencers a shot (which i do respect) do it as a a separate feeder series like how f2 is to f1.  or do a one day/weekend Dana White Contender Series style event where people can battle to earn a spot.  i would happily spend a train ride or lazy Sunday afternoon watching a 15 min video of a skate tourney.

I think at some point CK realized he didn't have to prove shit to anyone after he tore Tpuds a new asshole in batb2. Fool showed up to that match with Billy Marks absolutely blasted lol

Another reason it blows now is the lack of diversity in who’s skating.
The old ones had guys who weren’t necessarily known for their flat game (Peter Ramondetta, Heath, Lizard King etc) and it was fun to watch how they do basic flat tricks. I feel it’s been the same skaters for like 5 years at least.

This massive bracket has been a fail if you ask me.  They tried to one-up the new wave of Revive and it has backfired.
