pretty much the idenical thing happened to me, I was very unstoked on it. But i geuss mine didn't have enough variety to it because i was focusing on photography, but it sounds like you tried to mix it up and they didnt feel it, not getting into that school was one of the best things cause the programs i would have taken were total bull shit

was rummaging through my room and chanced upon a pair of my old emerica ellingtons, so i decided to skate them on friday.... mind you they are old, its been 2 years since i last skated them and the felt good at first...

went to the bottom of my block and popped a few ollies and found lots of white specks on my deck... thinking it was nothing i drove up to the usual spot and started skating, only to have both soles of my shoes rip off within 5 minutes of skating...

thankfully there was duct tape so i basically wrapped my feet in them and surprisingly they lasted the night.....
