I'm not trying to be a prick, but dont  the Canucks always kill it in the regular season and shit the bed in the playoffs? They are certainly playing good hockey right now. I dont think they've lost a game in regulation in over a month.

But everyone already knows that the Wings will be heathly for the playoffs and nobody really stands a chance after that.

whelp, so what the fuck? no all star game on national tv? i have to have versus to watch one of the best all star games ever? no one i know even has versus. what the shit. by the way, hi guys
[close]

I wouldn't even worry about it the all-star games are pretty much a joke, the winter classic has basically taken over the all star game in ratings and popularity too.

But that is fucked that they aren't broadcasting on public tv in the states, I'm not that surprised though, I always assumed most of the U.S. couldn't give a fuck less about the NHL.

yeah agreed about the winter classic. its probably one of the best things the nhl has come up with over the past few years. with the structure of this all star game it had the potential to be big as well, a lot of my friends were talking about it and they dont like hockey nearly as much as i do. i feel like writing good ol gary bettman a letter

Yea the structure to this all-star game is different right ? Like they are gonna have the captains pick or something? That would be kinda fucked if players on the same team end up going up against eachother.

Usually we dominate our division, but thats because there are no good teams in it except for Colorado, although Minnesota is doing well his year

Last year we lost to the Stanley Cup champions, who were just a better team. This year I have no doubt were better than the Hawks, but its playoffs that scare the shit out of me, Canucks haven't made it to the Conference final since 1994

The game against detroit on Saturday Canucks should have won if it weren't for Howard

glad this is back...i can quit posting in the snowboard thread....

it's true dude...the jury is out on the canucks in the playoffs but yeah, i'll take it, it's great to have a competitive team.  It's not easy to do in Canada...we care too much...it's hard to build a good team.  If we're healthy...we should go deep...

I think they should make the all star game even lamer....make it for kids, that's pretty much who it's for anyhow...i think they're going in the right direction of 'uh..let's just make it a good t.v. show..'  but yeah 3 hrs. is excessive.  LIke the winter classic show was better than the winter classic....

Were you waiting for Sid to do a kickflip in that clip?

Penguins' website had the most visits last month so they wrote an article about it with this video at the bottom:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPGS2zslaJM&feature=player_embedded#!

probably could have gone in "things that made you laugh today".

and they pooped on the habs with crosby on the bench last night

Went to the Leafs game on the 20th vs the Ducks.  Bought a Grabovski jersey, and got some good seats. Grabovski and Giguere were solid, as was the defense, and they won 5-2. Not bad since they lost 7-0 to the Rangers the night before. Only a couple more years until they could contend for a playoff spot, I hope.

thats rad, but this is my favorite goalie fight of all time.

Patrick Roy was a great goalie, but he was a full on bitch. And if you watch this video, it runs in his family....

grabovski is my favorite leaf this year by far. glad they got rid of beauchemin, hopefully lupul pulls his weight and doesn't fizzle out like every other player who's been traded to the leafs in the past 5+ years. i live on the west coast so its sometimes hard to catch the games, but i found a good streaming site so i've been watching a lot more lately. hopefully they can keep winning games and MAYBE be a playoff contender, but that's a long shot.

Agreed. Lupul's playing with Bozak and MacArthur tonight, and I can't wait to see him play. Ducks fans are pissed that we got got Jake Gardiner, as he was second on their depth chart right behind Cam Fowler. And John Mitchell's gone too, which is great as he was complete shit.

Haven't been watching hockey at all the last few months, should probably get back in the swing of it now that the Flames are picking things up.

Had a look today too and saw that no seats are available for the Heritage Classic for less than $175 too, which is sort of shitty. I was entertaining the idea of freezing my ass off for a game.

Heated match between the Islanders and Penguins last night. Islanders won 9-3, and 346 penalty minutes were handed out, most since 1995.

That game was pretty brutal. Its sad that it takes something like this to get people talking about Hockey.

After all the suspensions and injuries, the Penguins are in some trouble.

Toronto trades Tomas Kaberle, drafted by the Leafs in 1996, to Boston for Joe Colborne, Boston's first rounder in 2011, and a conditional second rounder in 2012.

Good trade for us, but I'll miss Kaberle.

they were in trouble even before that happened. I'm sensing a downward spiral.
