that was unbelievable. but this is slap, so i'm gonna complain about how there were too many ledge combos.
there were too many ledge combos.

Saw this ages ago. I'm not gonna lie, I was impressed but fuck its homo.

I cant hate... one of my roommates rides bmx, a shit ton of my friends ride and are some of the most entertaining to session with, i own an S&M shirt, and i get some free shirts on occasion from my buddy's shirt company he hooks the local bmx crew up with.

really dislike bikes...but id take a meatcleaver to the sack befor i did any of that.

For the most part, I am a BMX hater for what they do to ledges and making me fear for my fucking life whenever I am at a skatepark with a bunch of them. But I am really psyched on this BMXer, Steven Hamilton. Some of the dudes I skate with grew up with him and he still lives around here. He is also a pretty adept skater and I see him all the time biking or skating around. From what I've heard, he is like the Mark Gonzales of the BMX world. He films shit constantly and somehow one of his little home movies wound up at my house, and it is totally fucked up. It's eight hours long and I guess the majority of it was edited while on mushrooms, and you can definatly tell. Most of it is just clips of weird shit shown over and over again. It's pretty cool though, most of the music is really good and a bunch of my friends have random appearances in it, smoking, drinking, skating, listing the ingredients on their Subway sandwich, etc. Probably the biggest WTF moment is a clip of him getting a BJ from a hooker and blowing his load on the camera lens. It's all distorted and colored weird and I probably wouldn't have known what it was, but I was watching part of it with one of his friends and he was kinda narrating it and telling me what the fuck was going on. Anyways, he actually makes BMXing look really cool. He sort of makes all those impossible skateboarding what-ifs you think of when you see some crazy architecture a reality, except on a a bike.

Funny that the video would have too many ledge combos and be set to that shitty Band Of Horses song.
I feel sort of the same way as Deluxe. I think BMXing is a cool activity and I can appreciate it, but I just hate sharing spots and parks with them. The majority of the ones at my skatepark are fucking retards. But I have some friends who moved away, but they used to BMX here and they were really cool and sick as fuck. One of them was sponsored by Etnies and in the late 90s when I worked at a gas station I would just steal stacks of porn and trade him for shoes.
But that first video and the dude in it can go fuck themselves. Fuck that flat tire jumping around shit. I think it's gay. Even worse then getting cut off at the skatepark by a BMX is getting cut off at the skatepark by a fucking mountain bike.
-
Trials riders (guy in video) > BMXicans. Whole different riding style that I actually get stoked on.
-
I feel kinda jealous of BMXers cause BMXing pretty much is where skating was 10-15 years ago....
-
Lakai had that video posted on their site awhile ago.

I have mad respect for good BMXing and Steven Hamilton is a legend. That's tight you kinda know him.
2:02 and the second to last trick in the first video were jaw dropping.
-
One of my best friends is a pro flatland biker (the only thing he hurts is himself), beyond that I love bmx and trials stuff, I own a bike that I use to pick up milk at the store down the street, but I'm the first dude that will start talking shit once I see someone destroying ledges. We don't have bikes at our park (it would be suicide to allow them, but we don't have a bmx community here)... but it's the inconsiderate fuckers I beef with. There are some ledges in Baton Rouge that I skated since I was a kid... in downtown BR, nearly every smooth ledge had a layer of metal on it from decades of skaters laying it down, then in less than a year some of our best spots were nearly unskateable.

Yeah, that second to last trick is one of the what-ifs i was talking about. That spot is at this office building right next to one of the skateparks around here, we always used to skate the stairs out front and think about how sick it would be if it were possible to skate all the slanted walls around the building. I didn't even know that bump-to-bar-to-regular-death-slant was around back, nor would I have ever imagined skating it, but after seeing that part, the next time I went to that skatepark I checked out that spot and it is completely insane. In my head I felt like that kid in that Jeremy Wray video part, cause I can't fucking believe that him jumping that shit is real.
This past summer I was skating campus with one of my friends that knows him and we ran into him on his bike. He started following us around and it is so cool to watch him ride his bike. He will just do the craziest shit so easily.

The BMXers in Austin let a select few of us skate their ramps.
From what I have been told, this town is the BMX capital of the US. Some of the gaps that BMXers have done are insane. I am not too crazy about them chunking up all of our ledges, but they are an easy group to get along and party with here.
-
ever since people started riding fixies I like BMXing more......i've always thought it was funny how skaters piss and moan about bmxers wrecking skateparks but skaters wrecking public property is fine....
-
Whatever, but no better than a child on a razor when you're in a park.
-
but fuck its homo.

two of my friends are big time pro bmxers for metal(used to be distributed by s&m) and one of my best friends runs a local shirt company. one of them runs this company bonedeth and their all having parts in it. from what i gather it's something like the tilt mode of biking. all these big names bmxers came to boston all summer long to ride/film and i hung out and partied with most of them. garrett reynolds, the sheckler of biking, is the biggest wuss factory who was afraid to leave the apartment.

Bikes + ledges = Me fucking angry
We go through all the trouble of getting these spots built (in some instances) and they ruin them. Why don't we just built parks with skatestoppers

linde was supposed to be at my house an hour ago so he could pick up his shirt. i missed albie, but the only time i saw him since he's been back he was in zombie mode. and one of those australians fork mentioned is alex liiv, really weird but lovable guy. he taught me some aussie lingo. he still gets royalties from random companies for this Scarred video.

I can go as far as liking BMX and even giving a pass on the mountain bike thing but the fixie thing is still the gayest thing ever.

real easy to make fun of & i rarely support anyone who does it, but shit looks like a real workout. i've never tried it.

I like how bikes can just climb up shit.
And their wallrides and gaps are insane.
