Stoked that I am taking steps to get my life back on track after fucking up for a while now.

Not stoked on going through this shit again though. The anxiety is horrible. One second good then the next I’m not.

Stoked that my cousin won a lawsuit. She was working at a summer camp in California when she published a political opinion piece online which got her fired from the camp(and she spoke with multiple lawyers before publishing the piece). She sued, alleging the camp violated California labor laws 1101 and 1102, which specifically prohibits employers from discriminating against employees for voicing their political opinions outside of work. She got a large settlement.

What I'm not stoked on is that her views are horrible, racist and disgusting. My family has pretty much disowned her ever since she became public with her views.

Which brings me to another point: Why is there no push to LEGALLY ban far-right/racist views from being articulated in public? It seems like the antifa only tries to attack/harass nazis, but they totally ignore the law. They don't even try to change laws that cleary protect Nazis from voicing their opinions. I'm usually for free speech, but I think the law should really clamp down on these types of obscene views being propagated in public.

contemporary hate speech laws in places like france, the uk, germany and singapore are often employed to prosecute people who critique israel, the military, the police, christianity and so on - https://theintercept.com/2017/08/29/in-europe-hate-speech-laws-are-often-used-to-suppress-and-punish-left-wing-viewpoints/ - they're problematic in the hands of right-wing governments

they're problematic period. if you think it's going to benefit you now, guaranteed it will be used against you [or people/a cause you care about] down the road. america has freedom of speech, it's more important than feelings.

Let me reframe the question: if a person working at a multicultural summer camp argues for genocide against specific ethnicities, including against ethnicities of people attending the camp, why should it be illegal to fire that person?

i guess just because of the slippery slope thing. obviously it's some wild ones like that but just put scrutiny on that person and fire them for behaviors they do or something. because once you've fired someone for wrongthink it won't stop w/ the egregious. there'll be no stopping the wildfires.

Realized I've spent more time at the gym than skating and forced myself to my skatepark. I realized that outside of the 3 flat ground tricks I had, I didn't have anything else. Got shown up by little kids but... taught them how to do some switch tricks and learned how to ollie down a curb again.

Also, apparently my network has some sort of virus and I learned attempting to connect an extender.
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

Smoking a ton of weed. I love to smoke weed, not in an annoying weed snob type of way where it becomes a hobby but more like a couple pack a day cigarette habit. It doesn't and hasn't  really effected my life negatively but when I think about how much money I spend I'm like "fuck, this is like a monthly payment on a Lexus" not that I give a shit about having a Lexus I just think about better ways I could be using my money. But like I said I really love smoking weed.

Got my first short story accepted for publication back in August and the magazine just came out at the beginning of the month. After a couple of days of anxiety I finally took a look at the online pdf. First thing I see is the publisher had misspelled my name. I’m grateful to have been put in the magazine, but it’s still a little disappointing. What can you do, though? Maybe it’s just a sign I need a pseudonym.

But that is NOT what Big Skatefase said. He said, quite explicitly, that there is no middle ground. He said "There is no "i'm against nazis.......BUT,".

There is no room for grey areas here.

are you pro-nazi / kkk / white supremacist or anti-nazi / kkk / white supremacist?

It's a very simple, binary, black and white choice:

1) Be a nazi/nazi sympathizer

2) Identify nazis, accumulate resources to kill nazis, then exhaust all of your time and resources in an attempt to kill every single last nazis on the planet. Either that, or die trying to do so.

Do people seriously not get this?

that sort of binary thinking works for children named skateface but the realities of life are a lot more complex. things aren't always black and white, sometimes they're hispanic or in this case, mixed race.
i only care about skating but i don't live in opposition to all the crappy things this world has to offer. if you spend all your time being agianst stuff you forget to be FOR anything. to be against something means they live in your head, rent free. i don't know about ya'll fellas but if i have nazis in my head, i'm charging them rent. big facts!

My post wasn't really about the government controlling what people say in terms of an outright ban. It was about the government enacting laws enabling people to be protected from firing due to their political beliefs, even if those political beliefs are explicitly genocidal against the people that the employee is overseeing and guarding against.

My cousin was a summer camp teacher for a couple of Jewish attendees of that camp, and she posted opinion pieces calling for the extermination of jews. That's politically protected speech according to California law, because National Socialist policies are, by definition, political speech, which falls under protections of California Labor Code Section 1101 and 1102.

What I'm saying is: These laws shouldn't exist in current form because they allow for this stuff to happen. And she won the lawsuit against the camp...

got offered a promotion at work, more responsibility, working my own run and getting a company car, was stoked on that but the non stoke was finding out the pay didnt increase, the car was meant to be the only perk.  So i decided to stay where i was in my current spot cause im hyped on the people i currently work and its a decent gig, company car wasnt worth the offer.

super bogus, the company was just scrambling to fill a spot cause the previous guy was screwing up but yeah without a payraise you would be stupid to take it, calling it a promotion was just trying to entice me to take it.

What are you stoked on vs. unstoked on?

Are you unstoked fat dude beefed you, and stoked your little nephew regulated that fool? And what’s more, because you live in a small town, everybody knows the fat dude got laced up by a five year old at the store?

Because that’s my interpretation.
