I have taken your suggestions to mind, and I have made some changes to the site. The first map is view-able to anyone regardless if they submit spots are not. I did this so you could see what the maps look like and how everything was set up.
Overall, it is a bit complicated, but this is as simple as I could make it. Just submit 3 spots and you get access.

I have tried this before with my previous website, sharespots.net, but since everything was free to take no one submitted anything.
My interests are to have this website grow, and so far in the last week we have had over 100 spots submitted. The people who like it, LOVE IT.

The problem with other skate spot sites is that they have the entire earth as there starting point. Which if there is 1000 around the world, you probably have on a few for your city. Making the site useless.
