I mean if benny maglinao is the filmed/editor for FA and Hockey then i think he could have made this a real epic intro vid. Raw footage is amazing though, i just feel it was a weird approach for the first ever hockey vid.

This was much better raw for sure whereas something like that Leticia Bufoni Nike video should have had some beats for sure.

i just feel they have a guy who is capable of making some of the best edits and didnt take advantage. That AWS section in the transworld video gave me chills when i saw it for the first time, i think this footage could've done the same.

I would say that at least the footage in Vans was filmed by Greg Hunt. Filming was on point! Probably the stuff he was gonna use for Vans video.

All of this. Everything Piscopo has released has been top notch. He's been really smart and selective about what he's putting out. Great style and tricks that IMO go beyond his age, and with a ton of power. If people throw shade on the kid it's just laughable hate.
Fitzgerald just straight barges. So raw. I don't think people really understand how gnarly that gap was coming down the bank of the ditch that he ollied.

Looks like Donovon switched from indys to thunders half way though filming and they seem less loose. Donny gets John on nike and John gets Donovon on Thunder?
Also, how is Gino not on Hockey. Their mission statement is " the white fa" the motherfucker plays ice hockey and has had a hockey themed deck on another company not named HOCKEY.

They've had time to hash this out and the best they could come up with are some dumb "rockers" graphic and a desk carving? Just seems scattershot. No real continuity or direction. And as others have mentioned, $80 for a hoodie seems a little excessive.

compare all the FA/hockey drops to a wallride or deluxe catalog, it's how they keep the hype going.
everything is a surprise because there is no pattern to it.
both of the videos theyve put out have operated on gimmicks (raw footage and the idiocracy footage).
id like to see them put out an actual edit with good music, fa or hockey.

Super impressed with the footage in this promo. I really like both of these guys.
But like someone else mentioned, a company named Hockey will never get me to buy anything from them. In Canada, hockey jocks are the worst form of meat head, and I want no association with them whatsoever. Oddly enough I could see this brand selling really well in Canada among the exact same demographic who eats up all the RDS shit - Hockey Jocks and Rig Pigs. It's too bad because I'd be happy to buy a board with John Fitz's name on it, but I ain't buying no Hockey shit.

In Canada, hockey jocks are the worst form of meat head, and I want no association with them whatsoever. Oddly enough I could see this brand selling really well in Canada among the exact same demographic who eats up all the RDS shit - Hockey Jocks and Rig Pigs. It's too bad because I'd be happy to buy a board with John Fitz's name on it, but I ain't buying no Hockey shit.

I like that it's a company by/for two young dudes, who skate and hang together and actually get pretty buck. I sort of imagine them driving around in John's Van, and just slanging boards out the back, getting dirty knees and bloodied palms.
Despite his love for the sport, and my love for his skating, Gino would have been awful on this. You guys are insane.
Can you imagine how weird his clips would have been as part of this promo? Two full parts of balls to the wall gnarl, and then 3 random, albeit stylish, clips of Gino being low-key.

This was all I could think of when reading through the diss comments on the brand's name. Girl is probably the silliest name of all time but no one ever questions it....what's in a name? I don't think it really matters much at the end of the day. Creation might be a better name than Hockey, but that's about where it ends.
