Yeah I was gonna say he's been reasonably productive on Patreon. Could be more but it's definitely better than youtube, especially when the vast majority of his posts are 30 min to an hr+ long

I've had a whole week off and a lot of time on my hands trying to bounce back from a slight depression (that kicked my ass...)  Ponied up the $4.99 yesterday for the patreon and I gotta say it's been worth it.

How hard they went in on jenkem mag surprised me a bit, and I had a hard time discerning whether or not gh and Ted came off sounding a little spoiled. Ultimately, they were speaking from their experiences and everything they discussed were valid and warranted.

I completely understand why he's not so invested in YouTube these days.

I don't subscribe to GH patreon so I don't know what he said about Jenkem but I have a guess. My thought is that he would talk about Jenkem being content poachers. I was even tempted to create a thread on Slap literally directed towards Jenkem saying "we see you lurking on Slap".

From my experiences with Jenkem, they are idea stealers and then act like they came up with a bunch of shit on their own. I enjoy them enough but seeing them stealing ideas for content has turned me off from them for the past few years now.

They also mentioned how Jenkem posted an article online that Ted wrote when they said it would only be used for their book which Ted preferred. If I remember correctly, it actually resulted in Ted losing his job at the time as well. They also touched on the fact that Jenkem used LurkerLou photos for a piece in the book and most of the photos had already been printed in Thrasher

I would like to add that it's fucking egregious that Ted didn't get paid for his essay in their INTERNATIONALLY SYNDICATED BOOK. I can (barely) understand not getting paid for a blog post or internet article, but to not get paid for something in a book is insane.

I have made a living off writing before, specifically that in the digital space, and I have also rendered creative services for both pay, and, "promotion," and, "exposure." Any company recieving ad revenue based off of content you've written -> a landing page with banner ads, you deserve to be paid. I have worked for free before, but after years and years of honing my skills/ craft, I will never write or perform for free ever again.

Working for exposure is a complete farce unless you are on some massive platform. If it's a platform that's massive enough and worth being exposed on, they're probably going to pay you for your work.

When you are in the infancy of a creative career or you're cutting your teeth, you working for free is expected, unless you stand up for yourself. Any company/ corpo/ promoter that operates in a professional and ethical manner is going to pay you in the first place, no questions asked, no matter how small or large the compensation is. 

After learning Jenkem doesn't pay, or has not paid in the past, for content my view point of them and their practices are extremely skewed.
