200$ on a scratch ticket when I was 13, my Dad’s friend took it and bought 100$ more of scratch tickets then gave me 50$ and said the other 50$ was a “redemption fee”.

Biggest win was $250 on a slot machine and I haven't gambled since. Only lost $20 a few other times. The electronic roulette tables are lots of fun though.

Biggest win...$16,000 on a mix of video poker ($8000 hit then 4 min later a $4000 hit) and table games.  THAT was a fun weekend, bought my wife a car when I got home...ha.
Biggest loss...well, it wasn't $16,000 I can say.  Good luck in AC.   I've never had luck there, that place is grimy as fuck.

I'm too cheap to gamble. I won like $20 on a slot in vegas within 5 minutes of playing and cashed out and bought my next drink. Probably my best win.

The only casino I like going to is the little Indian one near my mother in law's place in the upper peninsula. Beer's are like $1.50 so I usually just get drunk and people watch while my wife's family loses money.

for a year or so, i would be in ac just about every other night with my friend. never really played slots or table games, just poker... never got crazy. always played 1/2, and 2/5 a few times. would only buy in for $200, and once it was gone, i was done. my friend on the other hand would re-buy like a motherufker. most ive won was $1500 from a $40 tournament, and like i said, never lost anything over $200 of my own money. ive def been up to around $800 and eventually left with nothing... but that was after like 8 hours of play. and yes, i was tight as fuck.

edit: by tight i mean like, a tight player, like only played decent hands, never tried to bluff etc...

I feel like I rarely find other skaters who play poker. I sound similar with cash game buy ins, but 2/5 is a bit out of my buy in range. 1/3 is the biggest I've played. I've won 1,000-1,500 maybe 4 or 5 times in online tourneys. I currently play a little online and am building up a bankroll, but don't have tons of time to play with work and family stuff.

Play some poker as well. Online on 888. Got 100th out of 3400 yesterday in a free roll.

I loved deep live tourneys as well but don't really have the time for 13 hours now. It is fun though.

No other gambling, that shit does not appeal to me at all.

I gamble on two things: fights and games of pool. I don't think I'd ever put any money on something over which I didn't have some significant degree of control.

I bet super small, it's always just for fun and I've never gotten the thrill out of betting big that other people do. The honest truth is that when it comes to pool the gambling culture is so pervasive that if you want to get a good game you have to gamble. The better players just won't get off their bar stool to play for fun. So I've probably both won and lost something like 200 playing one pocket at 20 a game. I've won 9 ball tournaments that paid out around that much too, but that's not really gambling.

As far as fights, a few weeks ago I put 20 on Anthony Pettis to beat Wonderboy and won 75. Like I said, I'm a small time guy haha.

Another addiction, best left alone.

I once redeemed a 5€ voucher for an online betting site and wowed to only bet on the best odds for that day, winning 1 or 2 cents per day. Those odds were bullshit and those 5€ were gone in 2 weeks. House always wins.

Roulette is really the only thing i'll occasionally play, the odd blackjack but not really. Biggest win would be like $100-$200 max which really isn't much compared to heavy gamblers, biggest loss would probably be in the same area so I'm content in that average haha not mentioning the few times I've been to Vegas and feel like it's "oh well when in Vegas scenario"

I moved to Las Vegas with dreams of being a professional gambler. Lasted 3 weeks. Hard eight. In my mind it was the best time ever but I think I was pretty depressed. This was 98 and you could get super cheap rooms and free food. It was all sports gambling, and I drank a lot of free beer, ate a lot of free food and fucked a lot (1) of Christmas elves. Wow, it was the best time ever.

Was living close enough to AC to go like once a month If I was bored. Stopped going because I never would win. I’d go with the intent of only using $100 if I lost it that was it. I won $550 once a few years ago but through the span of a night on roulettte. Last Christmas I went down and lost $175 out of the $200 I brought. My last 25 chips I put on a number and hit for $875 that was pretty cool. But my rent was due the next day and had Christmas presents to buy.

I went to a casino in WV and won some hands playing 3 card poker which was dope, slowly but surely being "up" didnt last long and I told the elderly lady next to me that I only had like thirty bucks left. she told me to go put it all on 11 on the roulette table, so I did. I won like $500 and gave her $100 of it, shit was dope.

Lived in LA for a few years, you can take a $25 dollar bus from downtown LA that takes you straight to Vegas, first stop is the Excalibur hotel on the strip, it's like $39 bucks a night to stay there... First couple of times I went I would go straight to blackjack and would get destroyed. First time in vegas I lost over $1,200 in one night, bank froze my account, if they didn't I would of absolutely lost more money... Never really won big either honestly. Now when I go I'll play blackjack and walk away with $250 bucks usually... At least I'm not losing.

I had a really good night playing roulette (won $760 or something), then I tried to chase that feeling over the next 2 years and lost over $10k all told. I was glued to the tables for over 8 hours at one point. I hardly even skated during this time. Very depressing, but this over 10 years ago so I think I've got it out of my system.

I was big time into poker around 10 years ago. Read every book, learned the important math, changed playing styles frequently. Lost around $2000 in the first year, but in the end I was making around $1500/month and that helped. Biggest win was $4500 on a $50 buy in tourney, but cash games were what I played mostly -- 1/2 blinds. Been thinking of getting back in on it with crypto.

when i worked at a gas station in high school i would buy scratch tickets... i would pay attention to how many losing tickets were sold on a specific ticket and if there were a ton of losers in a row i would buy the next couple and usually make out decently. seemed that winners usually happened on the first 100 tickets on the roll, and on even numbers.

one time some dude kept buying 20 dollar tickets and after he spent about 2-3 hundred on losers i bought the next ticket when he went to the bank for more cash and won 250 bucks. that dude dropped another 100-200 on losers.

moral of the story, if youre buying scratch tickets and you dont work there, youre wasting your time/money.

Fantasy basketball, football and soccer is pretty fun on FanDuel or DraftKings. Almost impossible to win any real money. I like to see how long I can stretch out 10 bucks. Playing mostly 1 or 2 dollar games. I have won enough to keep playing for a month on 5, get up to 30 and bet a little higher. I’ve only cashed out once for 70 and I’m sure I lost about 2 grand over the last 5 years. Not a great investment but more fun than scratch tickets. Chasing the dream of the perfect lineup that wins 10,000 on a 4 dollar bet.

I do pretty much the same thing, just try and stretch it out on small bets. I've been betting $2 and consistently making around $15 on Nascar bets the past couple weeks on Draftkings

Try baccarat. It's literally only 3 choices - player/banker/tie. There's bonuses and stuff too once you get comfy but the core game is just add the cards up and if it's over 9 you use the second digit for the score (like a 12 gets scored as a 2), and whoever has the best score wins.

Also has some of the best odds and bonuses of any table game. I know lots of people like to play blackjack and craps because they feel like they have more influence on the outcome but if I'm being serious and grinding to get my bankroll up I almost always play baccarat.

It’s one of the few vices I don’t have so I’m steering clear.

Only time I did it was like 10 years ago when I was alone studying in an empty city with everyone on holiday and only a burner phone and no internet.

Put like 2$ on a few international friendlies cos it’s fun and I thought it was easier to win.

Won like 50$ and when going to cash them out the next day the lady just told me: ok on what you want to put them now?
And I was like nah I just want my cash and leave.

That interaction mixed with people playing AI horse races at like 3pm fucked me up and never did it again haha.

I'm into sports betting, too, and it's always a mix of excitement and nerve-wracking moments for me. My biggest win was a lucky streak on basketball bets, netting a few hundred bucks. My biggest loss, though, was betting on football games without doing my homework and losing nearly as much.

For staying updated and making smarter bets, I've found a lot of help online. There's this one website I use that offers great insights and analyses, which have really improved my betting strategy. If you're looking to get more into sports betting or just want to understand the odds better, checking out resources online can be super helpful. You can find a lot of good tips and strategies here (https://www.socialtoto.club).
