rewatching the sopranos

I've only seen it all once before, and always enjoyed the "you are not to play mario kart or go skateboarding for 3 weeks" line somewhere in the first season.

this is season 2 where they go to italy - i assume some prop person just whacked it in to pop off her dressing gown situation. i belive it says "bioskate" - pretty strange use of an old skateboard for no reason...i like to imagine that she skates around her mansion

P-Rod was on Nickelodeon’s fabled ‘The Brothers Garcia’ playing a bully named Cortez. He was wearing an ‘eS shirt.

I was watching “Orange County”, early 2000’s movie with Jack Black. Saw a Thrashermagazine . com sticker on the keyboard and a Thrasher Magazine came in the mail, couldn’t quite tell what cover. Maybe someone with better sleuth skills can tell. It’s on Pluto TV (free app). Also on “Not Another Teen Movie” there’s a SLAP mag on the rack inside the library at 1:10.

Note: apologies if these are ABD in the thread.

Should have been a copy of Transworld.   Sean Brumder in Newport Beach in 2003 is not subscribing to Thrasher.   But Jack Blacks character probably rolled with the Big Brother guys back in the day

not "tv" per se, but I think it still fits the theme of this thread as "seeing skate brands where you dont expect it".

with that said, I present That Mexican OT wearing some crispy Kalis OGs.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone remember this show? I think it was just called “Skate”. It aired on NBC here in the states around 2001 or so. Maybe lasted a season or 2. I think it was filmed in Vancouver or the PNW area. Did a quick look on the interwebs and only found these 2 clips from the show.

You wouldn't happen to be looking for VHS copies of the entire season, along with the commercials?

Not at the moment but thanks for the offer. Wouldn’t mind watching them online though… there’s def a market to sell those vhs. Skimmed the YouTube comments and people were willing to purchase them.

Yeah I vaguely remember Koston maybe having a cameo or they might’ve used his footage for an ep. Just found the Muska ep in its entirety.

I'm a fan of the Bosch novels, and one book (City of Bones, which they adapted for the Amazon Prime show about the dog discovering some kid's bones up in the Hollywood Hills) involves a victim who was a skater. The book came out in 2002 and it's jarring to hear everyone in the book refer to skaters as "boarders" and "boarding" instead of "skating." Still a great story.
