Biting this one from the bunt, but what was the one trick that got away? Ever go back to try it again only to realize it wasn't worth it?
Kinda dumb, but as a kid I set a flatbar up as "down rail" on a 3 stair. I did boardslide and ollie over pretty easy.
I was feeling myself and went for 5-0 (did not know how to do this on a rail). I overshot, tapped the rail on the way down, but basically gapped to flat. I landed fully on the tail and it popped straight through my top and bottom lip. Had to call mom and get some stitches in my face.
I didn't go back because I knew it wasn't worth it to fabricate a shitty spot like that.
To keep biting the Bunt - who's the last (notable) person you want on the sesh?
I'll leave the more obvious picks aside (racists, rapists, addicts, cult members, etc.), and select on the basis of just being insufferable, and only bringing negatives to the session. David Loy. Was that Austyn's pick, if I remember it right? It's a toss up betweem him and Mikey Taylor. Maybe Mikey's the better pick actually; he hardly skates, and I despise air-headed finance bros. At least Loy has touched a board lately, and maybe I can get a confession about the dark underbelly of Jah's house parties out of him during the down time.
Question: What's the best advice someone ever gave you (skate or non-skate related, up to you)?
