Didn't think it was corny. Dude's endorsing a product he likes and uses anyway. Plus it's a product that allows him to be creative.  Just like being a skater and having a skateboard sponsor. Win-win for both BA and sharpie. (And if it's true as suggested in the clip, the clip was based on the storyboards he made with the sharpies. Some nice self-reference in there.)
